Winnable game looking at the stats. I'm going for a 2-1 Saints win.

Great team display. Great goalkeeping performance. Great defending. Great captains performance. Great singing from the Northam in particular. Great managerial decisions. Great that the Itchen staff have started to sell beer at half time quicker. Great weather. Great day... And I can't stop looking at the league table!

I'm not sure your first line is worthy of comment. But I agree with the rest of your post. Although clearly it was worth starting a thread as you produced a helpful comment from the debate. I agree with you, home fans are quiet.... Doesn't mean we should be though. Our away support is great. Home support is becoming a little quiet. Ok the style of play has changed under MP, less exciting but more effective, but we still need the Northam to lead the singing, I thought they seemed a little flat on Saturday. Itchen north gave a good account of themselves. Perhaps it was just my position in the stadium and the effect of a good away fan base. But, I think it was the first season at SMS when we won the title for one of the loudest sets of fans? bet we are not at the moment. Perhaps we are in a little shell shock and responding to MPs more risk averse style? Either way, slow anthem is ok but I still think we could do with mixing it up a little.

Rasiak 9 is right. Exactly the point I was making. I don't mind it occasionally sung slow, but not all the time. Variety is the spice if life and all that. Had enough of the dreary version. Time to celebrate more, it's great being a Saints fan!

Can someone edit it to OWTSGMI oops

Have to say its good once and a while but I am starting to get sick of hearing the spurs version of our song all of the time!?! You can't beat a chap in the Itchen North or Northam singing, "IN THAAAAT NUMBER...." Followed by a good old traditionally paced version for as long as is necessary. Time to switch back to the traditional version for a bit. Slow version is dull and frankly we never seem to get to the faster bit! Come on Northam... I was a little disappointed by the singing yesterday. We need you! Lets switch back. The teams doing well. The staff at SMS working hard (although someone needs to sort the beer sales out - far too slow at HT!) - time for us to up our game at home just a little.

Great news for Sunderland. Massive error to employ him IMHO. The bloke is a grade A fool, second only to Ian Holloway for being the mos idiotic manager in English football.... Bring on a 6-0 saints win and Holloways sacking tomorrow to crown a good week for English football.

Goal of the night Gaston Ramirez. Wow. Clean sheet and kids got a debut or two. Easy.
-
I agree. 100%. Still bad day, let's move on...
-
Very poor considering our potential. Midfield never got going. Lallana always tries to do too much, Osvaldo is not yet match fit, Wanyama had a bad day, Lambert was nowhere, Chambers looked average, Fox is a weak link, Ramirez still hasnt shown he's worth his fee. MP was right to change the midfield, but he shouldve played Cork. A real shame. Bottom half performance. Bad day at the office.
-
Not good. Osvaldo looks rusty. Putting the ball out with slack passing. Left back position looks vulnerable with Fox there. Wanyama not at his best. Webb has missed a clear penalty and should have at least booked one Norwich player. So? We"ll win the second half!

Makes me wonder who is in line for Puncheon and why... Those are three qualities he has in abundance as a substitute. I hope we have someone good lined up, seems a little daft to send out a dependable player if not. For what it's worth I rate Scott Sinclair, but I sense it will take him 6 months to reach Puncheons current standard and fitness levels.

I am not sure there's much between Yoshida and Fonte to be honest.

One more player... go on just one more....

Spot the Argentinian who plays for Italy.

Prediction: FIRST PREM MANAGER TO GET THE SACK?

Holloway. No way he should even be in charge of a CCC let alone Premier League team. -
Lallana needs his hair cut. He's starting to look a little wierd. God know's what his goal celebration hadve been if he'd scored.
-
Sounds like agent talk to me. Not endearing his man to the fans though.
-
So happy. That's it - he's now a great.
-
Ditto! Very happy!
-
I actually had a tear when he said that! Legend. Fact.

Star of Africa: Victor Wanyama - (Daily Mail)

His through pass for Spiderman's goal yesterday was outstanding. Promises a lot this man. So far so good... ! -
He was one of the most clinical finishers I have ever watched at St Mary's. Just didnt seem to miss. To be honest we could do with another Philips right now. I can't help but feel we need another clinical finisher and have a lot of work to do in Defence still after yesterday's - admittedly encouraging - match. I have always had a great deal of time for the little fella. One of England's real greats - European golden boot winner. I think his departure started going wrong from the moment he was rumoured to have entered the Aston Villa dressing room after the game that relegation season at SMS and told them all how much he was looking forward to joining them.
