  1. Well we have to now buy two strikers having sold Lambert and Osvaldo (or not). I have no opinion on him to be honest. But,obviously would rather a manager made the decision not the Board.
  2. I am sure everyone's right on this thread. I guess that most of us remember what happened the last time we came 8th and lost a good manager. Fear reigns.
  3. It's not that bad yet! But the sense of fear is notable.
  4. Harry's apprentice !
  5. I share some of the concern here.
  6. We won't get Moyes even though I would prefer him. He wouldn't want to work for the current clubs leadership - the longer the week has gone on the more MP looks vindicated for electing to move to Spurs. Clearly he knew that they were going to sell his team. I fear Reed and RK are about to make similar mistakes that Lowe did. God I hope I'm wrong.
  7. I just watched the interview again. He is not very impressive. He tried to reassure but fails. Apart from the fact he seems to hint that no players will be sold until a manager is in, probably untrue, he opens the door to all comers to come in for our players by not ruling it out. He has also made another major basic error. By saying we have lots of people applying for the managers post he has missed the point that ambitious clubs pick their managers from whomever they want. They take not look for yes men to apply for the job. That worries me. I've been pushing for Moyes. I bet he hasn't 'applied'. Would you work for this man?
  8. I'd like to think the threads conspiracy theory is bogus and that a simple lack of an experienced chief executive who has little or no media presence and clearly no understanding of the depth of dormant anger that sits within an ancient football clubs fanbase can do to rip apart a club when awoken, and a DoF (?) in LR who has got his confidence levels so high on the adrenalin of success he has created up to now that he feels he can lose the best players and put in another manager to keep moving forward (shades of the start of Lowes downfall?). But, there are sadly not many potential owners for a nearly top 4 club, that's big bucks. There are however more potential buyers for a mid table venture. With the Crown Jewels sold, the clubs value falls considerably allowing the Tans of the world their opportunity to speculate. We got lucky with Marcus L, but it seems more and more obvious that his daughter is not willing to invest. A vicious circle awaits if this plays out as it is threatening to. Even if KL does want the best for the club, it will not take long before coming to SMS becomes uncomfortable as the fans start to turn. There are three parts to a football club that need to be kept in harmony, which until a week ago were a model for all others to follow at Saints. The genius of the players - The strong governance of the Club - The passion of the fans. Undermine any of those factors, as we saw from the moment Rupert Lowe lost an 8th Place manager who was losing his best players (to age and injury) and refused to add to the genius of his players - my goodness there are frightening comparisons we could make here - and the club will fall. Right now our Governance looks very weak - our genius is in danger of a mass exit and our fanbase is rumbling. BUT IT CAN BE STOPPED IN ITS TRACKS NOW BY GETTING A STRONG MANAGER AND POINT BLANK REFUSING TO SELL OUR PLAYERS. IF NOT, 'Sha la la la la la la la... who's ****ing laughing now?' will come back to haunt us.
  9. Blimey. An integrity thread. Cue RKs start of the week reassurance speech dissection... Bottom line we are selling players before we get a manager and I am sure there will be more....
  10. Have to say I find all this Cortese pulling the strings stuff a little far fetched. He's gone. The Board are making the decisions, Cortese is powerless. If you want a conspiracy theory imagine how much relief there will be in the top 6 teams that Southampton are ripping apart a potentially top 6 team by feeding them their finest. Adding to their overall quality and removing a permanent threat to them for a European place. We were so close. Hell, WE ARE SO CLOSE, if this Board wakes up and STOPS SELLING NOW. I hate seeing Rickie go. It's like watching the team be ripped apart starting with the heart and joy. Lallana will be next, the head and drive and leadership, Shaw a speeding leg, Rodrigez the punching arm... And so on ...
  11. Does Rickie get removed from the Banner? I hope not.
  12. I think you're on to something there.
  13. Will this thread die? Or will there be at least one Saint left in the England squad by mid Jun!
  14. Lol! Comical Ralfie!
  15. Lol she's got her work cut out with this bunch of boardroom clowns.
  16. Golden post.
  17. The only reason Saints Board will say no to Liverpool is if they have suddenly realised that the fans will march on St Mary's on Saturday.
  18. But sky still saying he's off
  19. Rumours on Twitter that Saints have rejected the offer for Rickie
  20. That is brilliant ! Made me smile - thanks!
  21. But Davis said: "I'm sure the owners will be doing their utmost now to get the best person possible in and ensure the we can keep the squad together. Oops.
  22. I honestly thought 'at least Rickie will stay' and he is the first to go. Gutted.
  23. £9million
  24. A lot of fans won't sleep properly tonight.
  25. A reason why this Board are so clueless about the vitriol that is about to be unleashed?
