It's doing my head in, football in the PL is so mundane and the stewards yesterday were just utterly pathetic. Ejection for swearing is happening, not racist stuff but just swearing. I mean honestly.

We seem to have just missed out about 5 years. We've gone from premier league survivors last year, to not giving a cr*p about the League Cup or Europa League (even though we haven't actually qualified for that yet, wouldn't it be funny if we finished lower than a competition we didn't even care about!) and concentrating on a Champions League place! When we have won the League Cup enough times to not give a **** about it (see Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd), and qualified for the Champions League so many years in a row we don't care about the Europa League (see same names as above) then maybe all those thinking we are above them will be correct.

Should be a regular starter now IMO.

What the hell are we resting from anyway? A home game against Hull and then two weeks without a game. No reason at all why more first teamers couldn't have been involved and get a result.

I actually find this really sad. You've been sucked in by Sky and the "glamour" of the Champions League mate. Think of the build up, the packed train to Waterloo, the massive **** up in London, the 30,000 saints on Wembley way, the potential for us to actually WIN something. I'm probably wasting my time.

This use to be the case but they have tightened up massively. No way around the system anymore and I for one am quite pleased about that.

I'd take a win in the League Cup and finishing 12th-14th then ever worrying about the top 10. You're mental if you don't want to experience that feeling of a proper cup win with Saints.

Going up on the Friday for the weekend, staying in Newcastle. This works out nicely for extra drinking time after the game.

It's still a travesty that we didn't win either League 1 or the Championship with those teams. Never mind.
