It would be better with Dickson and Richardson, but we've tried it 1st half today and for Sheff Weds and didn't really work either time.

The problem is the majority of older fans have been used to decent standard in the top league for the last 27 years, they simply do not know how to handle a bit of a drop in class, and so are criticising players who aren't up to the standard they are used to, a standard 2 divisions above where we are.

I can't believe people are moaning that we don't have a CHAMPIONSHIP winning team yet...absolutely unreal.

Guly is great up until the final ball or the 18 yard box and then he does seem to let himself down. It's a shame because I think he has alot of talent.

What an afternoon that was! Incredible. We started very brightly, went behind to pretty much their only attack of the 1st half. Everybody going mental at Guly but I actually thought he was half decent 1st half. The 2nd half from 60 onwards was too good for words. Roll on Tuesday.

MLT and Gazza are easily two of the most gifted players this country has ever produced, and we pretty much wasted both of them. Their talents were totally ignored in favour of pathetic "ball winners" like Batty. We didn't deserve either of them.

What result do we want tonight then? A draw would be best IMO but a Bournemouth win would do, it's a shame they can't both lose.

This thread has made me tempted to get out my "Matt's Premier 50" and "Unbelievable" videos out. Shame I know longer have a VHS player!

If Mills would be our 1st choice LB in the Championship, it does beg the question why he isn't in L1? I actually thought it was a decent signing at the time, but Harding has performed better then expected IMO. It's funny that we have both the RB and LB from the team of the year last season, yet neither can get in our team!

I paid £22 return to Charlton on the train with a YP Railcard, much better value then driving at the moment.

I'd try Guly, he looked half decent when he came on down the right at Charlton. Doesn't give the team much pace though.

Isn't it only a one off though because Uefa require nobody to play on the pitch 14 days before their precious CL Final? It should always be the last Saturday of the season.

It's always happened in the Tyro. I remember a player attacking a manager with a brick once, and had numerous games postponed. At Saints they did use to ban all comments from the parents which was a good idea but quite hard to manage for sunday league teams. I can't wait to hopefully be a parent and take him to football, but having played a very decent standard myself i'm not sure i'd be able to keep my mouth shut when some fat buffoon starts shouting nonsense.
