  1. the ticket prices on the list of blocks on the OS contradict those on the seating plan and the list of categories! I am confused! And why can't people buy tickets online in Period 2!?! It doesn't make any sense!
  2. its a myth - a Redknappism if you like. its dirty little club in a dirty little city - and that's the truth! they are probably more famous for the 657 crew than anything else in the real old world of football perhaps if they were selling out every week the myth of the 'best supporters in the world' could be believed but they're not - and its far from true - and the Pompey chimes is probably the most monotonous and moronic anthem in football - its not exactly blue moon or forever blowing bubbles is it!?
  3. Now that Chanrai has the stadium and supposedly a 15 year £1 million a year rental agreement with the Portsmouth FC I can see him putting the club into administration I suspect he has taken some cash out the of the club as well so on paper he has his £17 million back! The FA Premier League will pay the outstanding tax and National Insurance bill to HMRC out of Pompey's guaranteed parachute payments - well at least enough of it for HMRC to give the club a stay of execution until the end of the season! - but only on the condition Pompey go into administration! The club has in effect been trading whilst insolvent - which is against the law and something for which the directors could go to prison if the Financial Director I spoke to is to be believed. Hence Pompey's FD's resignation and reinstatment as a non-director! What were Storrie and Co doing signing Owusu and O'Hara on loan - and then Rocha and Tosic on a free when they were insolvent! Storries makes Lowe and Hone look good - and that's saying something!
  4. Play-off semi final at Derby they kept us in the stands whilst the Derby fans celebrated their victory by calling us out for a fight on the pitch - must have been 20 or 30 minsutes and then when we got back to the coaches they kept us waiting for another hour whilst they tried to find and identify the one saints fan who had thrown something at the Derby fans on the pitch and for some reason the Derbyshire Police didn't appreciate me asking why they were wasting their time looking for one Saints fan when they should have been busy arresting all those nice Derby fans who had stormed onto the pitch and then there were the roadworks on the A34 on the way home - it made it a very very long night! still the £10 I paid the coach driver to drive through a massive puddle and soak a load of Derby fans standing at the side of the road to wave us off was probably the best tenner I've ever spent and at least Derby and their fans got what they deserved in the premier league - the worst top flight record ever!
  5. Not sure about either after Saturday - both have pace we desperately need - but both need to drastically improve in front of goal - and with the final ball how many times did Antonio cross the ball to James? And both should have scored at least once saying that along with James they were guilty of powder puff shots at goal when the should have buried the ball! And Barnard costs us the equaliser at 2-1 down with his stupidity and greed! if we are still in League One I'd probably offer Antonio a one year contract - and take Waigo on loan again if by some miracle we get promoted we'll need better we should have signed Max Gradel and Nathan Tyson instead of these two - and that says it all really
  6. he made a couple of great saves today - and one truly world class save he made a massive difference in the first half
  7. I hope they survive - go into Admin and get relegated - but survive so we can beat the, 5 f*cking 1 and get revenge! Owusu and O'Hara should even have been on the pitch - how they got their transfer ban lifted I will never know
  8. it is the result that matteters though - and in this game more than any other! it was a bad substition by AP and at 3-1 down if not 2-1 down we should have shut up shop to keep the score down for prides sake we should have scored 2 or 3 goals in the first half - and that lack of venom in front of goal really worries me we also have scary lack of pace in the team even if they go out of business this week we are not going to hear the end of it from those gloating inbreds for a long long time
  9. Yep - your not answering your mobile though!
  10. I've got one PM with your mobile
  11. I have a spare ticket in the Kingsland Block 34 PM with your mobile number if you are interested!
  12. Let's hope the police arrest the on Saturday with extreme force!
  13. There is only one Markus Liebherr One Markus Liebherr Walking along singing a song Walking in a Liebherr wonderland that sounds good enough to my ears!
  14. Like that will be on time! by coach is probably the best way!
  15. Might join you with a few mates as we were planning to get the train in from Winchester on Saturday! My Birthday's on Sunday 28th March. I was thinking of hiring out Wembley for a big party to celebrate! Fancy joining us? Everyone's welcome! Dress code is red and white though! I am expecting a few gatecrashers from up North though but I don't think they will spoil the party too much! Happy Birthday for Saturday by the way - lets hope we both get big red and white striped presents!
  16. I not totally convinced we strengthened the defence enough in the tranfser window. We are probably still short a first choice right back who can defend - and decent cover at centre back. Of the defenders we brought in only Fonte is off the right quality. We are still missing a midfield playmaker and a starting Defensive Midfielder. If the team finishes the season badly Pardew will be sacked in the Summer - Cortese and Liebher will expect automatic promotion next season and won't take any prisoners in getting there The least I expect this season is a trip to Wembley for the JPT final, victory over the Skates and a top half finish. Anything less from Pardew should lead to serious questions about his future at St Marys
  17. I don't think the current owners will really splash the cash until the summer. This season we have an outside chance of the play-offs and we have strengthened the team a little bit in the January window to make sure we finish in the top half and still have an outside chance of making the play-offs. However I think Cortese and Liebherr are running the club wisely - and making sure the wage bill is met by current revenue. Certainly for this season. The time to gamble is next season - the odds are against us this season! This season is all about steadying the ship and building the foundations for the next few seasons. We should see any trips to Wembley, a good FA Cup run as the jam in the cake. Beating Portsmouth in the Cup and winning the JPT would really be the icing on the cake! The cake itself is finishing in the top half this season and starting next season on 0 points and not -10 as favourites for promotion! In the summer with Wotton, Thomas, Murty, Connolly, Waigo, Ostemboor, Antonio and Perry all out of contract and a lot more space on the wage bill I think we will see some real money spent on transfer fees to put together a squad good enough to get automatic promotion. Hopefully we will get rid of some of the deadwood in the summer as well - Pulis, Molyneux, Holmes et al.
  18. Richard Hall
  19. I'd like to see the 1885 kit as either our second or third kit anyway - and I have a feeling the current England kit with a diagonal red stripe will be the anniversary kit. My favourite kit of all time if the 1976 -1980 kit as its a little bit different - followed by the early 80s kit. The worst are undoubtedly the Pony and Hummel kits. The current Umbro kit is the best we've had for quite a while!
  20. He used to come out drinking with me and a group of friends in Winchester - a long time ago now! Saints were in the Premiership and Reading were in League 1 at the time - I used to take the p*ss a bout that! He was a friend of a friend really. He liked Winchester as nobody really new who he was so he could relax - whereas in Reading he got hassled quite a bit I think. He did get drunk once or twice - but I do remember we all went for a Chinese meal one night and all he had was boiled rice! Haven't spoken to him in years as the mutual friend moved away!
  21. The Itchen Northam corner was where most Lowe/Hone/Wilds biggest and most vocal critics sat - and it was a bit nearer the directors seats and hospitality boxes than they would have liked - so when the opportunity came to close it down they did! Simples!
  22. I've got 5 season tickets but couldn't buy any Pompey tickets online last night - not 10, not 5, not even 1! So I went down to the ticket office this morning and got 5 Pompey tickets! But I'm now the only one of the 5 season ticket holders who can make the game - 2 our away for the weekend ad it's Valentines, one has a commitment he is deperately trying to get out off but it would let about 100 people down! And my sister won't let my nephew go as he under 8! Mind you I got 8 tickets for the MK Dons game when I bought the 5 half season tickets - just created memberships then and there for 4 people! Does that mean I can get 18 tickets if we make it too Wembley!
  23. I'm sure the 2 club rule only applies to permanent signings not loans. Also Arron Davies is 28 - so he was in the youth team a bit before Walcott and Bale! Wasn't he on the fringes of the first team in our FA Cup final season?
  24. Something along the lines of: 'We all love the taxman more than you well know!' to the tune of Mrs Robinson!
