  1. so you are a little interested then........?
  2. Giant Anthem X3, perfect all rounder and a Gary Fisher Roscoe which is a beast of a ride, 5 and half inches of travel and a superb single track machine - just wished I lived nearer the Lakes and was 20 years younger and had the balls to take her off some big jumps and drops, probably going to sell her as I just don't have the time to travel to where this bike needs to be
  3. Well played - welcome aboard
  4. I'd only have him back if he comes as a package with Chrissy Marsden FG
  5. nowt as daft as folk
  6. Crisps are the least of this countries dietry and food culture problems - it really is a poor show FFS
  7. Maybe someone else has found a way of stopping the cat krapping in their garden and they don't even own the sodding cat. Top tip, cat kraps, clear it up.
  8. lol - he was a right misery but he did do a mean no 1 flat top though. Alf Prowse in Bitterne was another haunt back in the day, classic barber - that man could talk the hind legs of a donkey
  9. They also need to update the website to show us in the Prem FFS.
  10. she's about 6ft, stocky, no eyebrows and caked in foundation - an excellent and highly amusing description She's the one who let me and my mate out the car park for free due to the extended time taken at the ticket office due to the system crash today so she can't be all bad.
  11. All tickets and moves sorted and they even waived the parking charges at St Marys due to the extended wait while the system was down, least they could do as some people were ready to mutiny.
  12. Take a rest for 4-5 days and let your body properly recover, you'll be amazed how good you'll feel on your first ride after the break.
  13. Dull aren't they - you're better off doing 10 mins of high energy reps on the excercise bike rather than plodding away for 45 boring minutes
  14. Well balanced objective views generally get villified/ignored by the simplified polarised view of insecure posters with axes to grind. Just look at the amount of posts by unregular posters after the promotion and the wealth of widespread input, all this has been slowly eroded by the usual suspects willing to nit pick posts on the back of a minority view to suit there bizarre insidious view points.
  15. There's plenty of arguing directly against it as a positive thing and by golly it's negative 1 positive 0 if you sum up this thread as a whole. Infrastructure, policy and procedure is all well and good but it's how it's implemented that's key, we've been good thus far and as long as we build on our past successes it's all good - time will tell.
  16. Which ever way you want to spin it, it's a good thing FFS
  17. You'll be fine up Ditchling Beacon - I rode the South Downs Way in a day, Winchester to Eastbourne and that's alot of hills and all off road. Max training mileage I did prior to the 100 miler was 65 and the worse bit on the day was 'hitting the wall' around 55-62 miles, after that I was in the groove. Hope to do it again when I get the time to train and the 200+ miler Winchester-Eastbourne-Winchester in one go is a mission I'd love to have a crack at, some loon did it in 18 hours, took me 11 one way!!
  18. Centurion: What's this, then? "Romanes eunt domus"? People called Romanes, they go, the house? Brian: It says, "Romans go home. " Centurion: No it doesn't ! What's the latin for "Roman"? Come on, come on ! Brian: Er, "Romanus" ! Centurion: Vocative plural of "Romanus" is? Brian: Er, er, "Romani" ! Centurion: [Writes "Romani" over Brian's graffiti] "Eunt"? What is "eunt"? Conjugate the verb, "to go" ! Brian: Er, "Ire". Er, "eo", "is", "it", "imus", "itis", "eunt". Centurion: So, "eunt" is...? Brian: Third person plural present indicative, "they go"..............................
  19. Peregrine's alot greyer with a speckeled chest - they're alot more common than you think, woke up to one last year in my back garden in Hedge End having breakfast with a pigeon, not much left of the pigeon. Don't see any Red Kites down this neck of the woods but round the Maidenhead/Slough corridor 2 a penny. As for Sparrowhawks, I was chatting with my neighbour a few years ago in Bursledon when one of them dived down into a fir tree housing a load of sparrows(funnily enough), loads of squaking later it emerged with one and promptly devoured it in front of us. Bill Oddie me up
  20. What's wrong with a map, women are scientifically unable to interpret maps correctly due to there lack of spatial awareness. Satnavs only erode the last bastion of man - get a map, learn use it. But I do like the joe pesci sat nav voice, class!!
  21. Well done - it's just the best feeling aint it, the first time you get to see them
