Noted, but your logic is flawed. You say that Jankewitz must be crap because a) Ralph didn't seem to rate him, b) he had to move to a lesser club to get games, and c) he's yet to establish himself at that club. If that logic was correct, it'd equally apply to Simeu and Small. The reality though is that all 3 of them are talented kids yet to prove themselves, and the fact that they haven't been given game time is not evidence that they aren't good enough or won't make it.

As Dman says, I'm not sure what you're getting from digging out a young lad. He's decent, but I'm not wasting my time discussing the merits of an ex player with someone who thinks A Armstrong is a better prospect than Broja. On the Ralph point, he was shit for most of last year, and he was stubborn about this kid. Two separate points.

I get the impression that Twar has no stats on the kid to assess him so has assumed that he must be shit because he's not forced his way into the team. Like you, I've seen him play and its clear that he's a very decent footballer who deserves some credit for wanting to play and improve himself.

I get that, and had he kept a lid on things it would have been very interesting to see where he could have taken us. There's no getting away from the fact that he oversaw one of the best periods of my time as a fan. Seeing us come back from the depths, flying through the leagues, signing players well above our status, and playing some great football was brilliant. It's a shame how it ended but we've survived, and these new guys seem like a step forwards from where we've been over recent years.

I can see how you'd say that if you view it superficially, and don't know the reality. I was privy to details back then. The overspend on Staplewood was double digit millions. There was a lot of other stuff too. He oversaw our ascent and for that we can all we grateful, but sadly he was the author of his own downfall.

Yeah, he must be awful to be getting a move to another top flight club. That happens to poor players. Or something.

Not sure what the issue is. The owner will have control of the club and have paid at least 20% less for the privelige. Kat still has shares which under new ownership may increase in value. Sounds like a win for both of them without any negative impact on the club/team.

Cortese was good at spending the owners money, and spending more than he had authority too. Fortunately we now have more considered people with their hands on the wheel.

Where does that come from? Semmens has been running a club reliant on its income so he's needed to duck and dive to keep us going, and be as competitive as possible. Part of that has meant we've needed to sell, but it's more than a stretch to say that anyone wants us to sell our talent. Hopefully we'll have more cash to work with now.

Although the jury is out on the new owner (purely as he's an unknown quantity) this guy is a class act. He has worked wanders at Midtjylland and Brentford, speaks well, is a passionate "proper" football man, and seems very tuned in to us fans. Interesting times ahead.
