If he hand grinds his home roasted coffee beans whilst listening to that gramophone, it's a no from me.

I'm not sure why, but it happens that way. Take Adam Armstrong, makes his move and comes straight into the team. Adamo Del Armstrongo from some foreign league wouldn't have done that. Cash at Villa did well last season, Watkins too, ditto most of the Leeds players after promotion, etc.
-
He's named after a village near Sheffield, not a Peruvian village, so he's as non hipster as a mug of tea. He'd make a bloody good signing though, and I've prefer a proven championship performer to a hipster who'll need a season to adapt.

Yep, but this Dman may turn out to be a nice new poster. Always has seemingly gone, and this warriorsaint may fill a gap. We've also had a Watson and Holmes pop up too.
-
How he was once is irrelevant to his form over those 27 games, and his poor game management. Nothing lasts forever. 15 points I think it is over the last 21 games, which equates to 27 points over a 38 game season. On any assessment that's relegation - do you honestly think persisting with him in the hope that he can resurrect us is worth the risk?

I agree that we don't need flair from our two x 6's, but the way they play don't help us dictate play. When Armstrong played in there, he played with no more flair as such, but he broke forward with the ball and gave an extra dimension to our play. Diallo has the ability to do that to a limited extent, but JWP and Romeu don't have it in their lockers. The problem with Armstrong as a 6 of course is that if he's in there, we lose him as a 10. Yep, many holes in this team.

So if I called you a racist and popped a winky on the end that'd be ok would it? I don't for one moment believe you are, I just want to establish that we can say what we like about people, pop a winky on, and all is cool.

Welcome new poster... Is MLG still around?
-
It can't be that complicated. He's had a pre season with Tuchel who plays a pressing style. Armstrong has come from Blackburn who play nothing like us. Having 2 right backs on the bench yesterday, and not this lad, made no sense to me.

Yep, and we are back to square one. However, and although we've (the west) have been integral in creating this mess, we had to walk away at some point. Sadly, Afghanistan is yet another country where the meddling of the waste has created problems that will likely never go away.
-
I've thought the same. Been happening for a while. Definitely a few alter egos here alongside their usual poster too. Some are easier to spot than others. CollinsDic was an easy one, and I suspect he's phoenixed as someone new.
-
They won't want him for long, he'll be back soon.
-
There is violence there, and the situation will be dire for many, women included (ditto academics, journalists, government officials, soldiers, police, etc etc). However, what are the west expected to do? We could not stay there indefinitely - withdrawal at some point was inevitable, and after the US made their decision us following suit was inevitable.
-
No, we're on a shocking 27 game run. Anyone who watched yesterday's game will have seen a game where Rafa changed his tactics, but that Ralph had no clue how to respond. That's happened for months and months, game after game. This is not a one game issue.
-
Shit. Is his ability an indicator of John Terry's or something? If not, what's your point?
-
Yep, he is, but we ain't getting far with a nice guy in charge are we.
-
My brother is a plastic occasional fan so he couldn't give a shit, but I think it's odd that any fan wouldn't be bothered by our team, results, and performances.
-
Yep. Puel's style of football was dull, but he played to our strengths and weaknesses, ie coached and managed us properly. We'd never have lost 9-0 under him, and had a much better chance of clinging on to the lead yesterday.
-
I agree with your sentiments, we're not here to police the world, smash countries up, walk away. Afghanistan was about regime change though (the Taliban) but 911 was the catalyst. Our middle east meddling is a mess and all designed to have multiple opponent's to Iran.
-
Which proven managers would you want us to target if (hypothetically) we bin Ralph?
-
I'm not sure what that's got to do with your point that John Barnes and John Terry are in any way comparable. I have a hunch that Terry will make a good manager and you think he'll flop. Let's agree to differ 👍
-
Yep, it went badly! I didn't hear his comments but agree that the money probably isn't there to fix the problem, sadly.
-
Yeah but we essentially got involved because we didn't like the regime. Ditto Iraq. Ditto Syria. Sadly we'll never stop meddling in other countries internal affairs. North Korea will be left alone as the possibly have a nuke, hence the economic sanctions. China are too big to be touched by anyone.
