  1. I'll have a pie or three for you 👍
  2. Hadn't seen that, cheers. That's a cracking bit of business.
  3. Shame, you missed some really good times. Promotion in any walk of life has it ups and downs for sure, and I for one wanted it and was glad when we got it. The sad reality though is that anything above 8th ish in the PL is a great outcome, and aiming for mediocrity ain't great. For me, if we don't survive in this league, so be it. I'll get to go to new grounds, and hopefully we'll get to enjoy the thrill of the promotion chase again.
  4. They're not jacking up the prices either. 20p a litre cheaper is a hell of a lot, saves me about £14 a tank in my camper.
  5. For ages now they've played more like wide midfielders, not tucked inside like they were. We're definitely set up different these days. Moi is a bit different though, ditto Minamino last season. They both tuck in more leaving the RB to give the width. Minamino went even more central when Armstrong played centre mid and gave cover when he went forward with the ball.
  6. It's a mess out there. Costco has been decent.
  7. Also, too much praise for youngsters can lead to complacency, which creates bad characters and stall development. No harm in a "he's decent, but still has work to do" comment.
  8. Absolutely. Going into games knowing we'd compete, signing players way above the level we played at, goals galore, Wembley, promotions, a near miss, no glory hunting fans, etc. Brilliant days.
  9. Agreed. Tino was signed as a RB, has been brilliant at RB, so everyone wants us to stop playing him as a RB. There's a logic there that I don't understand. Sure, KWP would want to play at RB, but Tino rightly has the shirt do either shuffles over to LB and fights for a place with Perraud, or he doesn't play.
  10. I have no idea mate, question for Ralph, but we should know by now to expect shit substitutions. Moussa can be great in patches, but for me he'd play more if he wasn't so wasteful with the ball. The bottom line is he had the choice of starting an average LB or playing KWP there, or an average (on a good day) Redmond or a wasteful Moussa. Hobson's choice, and if he had gone the other way, people would probably still have whinged.
  11. We all see it differently mate. Perraud has been dropped for a reason, and when he played at Sheff Utd he got beaten badly for their first goal. Had Traore played, KWP would have dealt with him better than Perraud imo. Djenepo gives the ball away too often. Ralph has poor options down the left and, for me, he picked the least worse one against Wolves.
  12. Perraud isn't great. Ralph probably expected Traore to play, and he'd have annihilated Perraud. His choice was Perraud or an out of position KWP. When you're between a rock or a hard place, you'll get whacked whichever way you turn.
  13. Yep. It's like staying in an unhappy relationship because you've yet to line up a replacement. A mindset I don't get.
  14. I'm not calling for his head quite yet, I'm saying that it's not unreasonable if others do so. For me he has credit for our start to the season and Man City. I'm putting Sunday down to a bad day at the office, and some bad luck. Personally, I think he got the team selection right, although Long on rather than Tella was odd. On a side note, people who blame Bednarek for Sundays game are missing the fact that the golden boy got caught up field meaning Bednarek got pulled over. Sure, he was weak, and a better CB would have dealt with that situation, but Tino left us a man short.
  15. Now
  16. A sensible and rational person does not stick with a falling manager. He's been abysmal for a whole calendar year, so those calling for his head are not being unreasonable.
  17. He's been his usual self from open play. Slow, ponderous, limited passing range, little creativity. It's his dead balls which have dropped off.
  18. Yep, we're not creating enough and JWP might just give us that spark a little higher up.
  19. Although I'd rather see KWP at LB then Perraud, carrying on with what isn't working can't continue. Personally, I like that formation and in the absence of S Armstrong, playing JWP a bit higher up makes sense. No chance we'll see it though.
  20. Yep. For ages I haven't understood what we're about. It's not a pressing game, not a possession game, not really anything obvious apart from defend and counter but we're not great at either of them.
  21. Last time he played was Sheff Utd. In the limited clips I've seen from that game he looked poor. Playing KWP ahead of him was the right call for me.
  22. Others seem to rate him, but I just don't see it and I can understand why he doesn't play. If his signing was Ralph's choice, then it's on him.
  23. Re Perraud, he's just not very good. Had he played and Traore started down their right, he'd have battered him. I suspect Ralph expected Traore to play so played KWP instead. The right call for me. If KWP plays RB and Tino ahead of him, it means Perraud at LB. I'm guessing Ralph would rather have an average 10 on the right than have to play Perraud. I'm with him on that. The only reason I would imagine Redmond plays is because Djenepo loses possession time and time again, so Redmond is felt the safer option. It's shit, but a luxury player or an average one is a shit hand for Ralph. Elyonoussi. Yeah, fuck knows what that's all about.
  24. I said last season that he should have gone, ditto the summer. Since then we've had a reasonable start to the season until today, and were amazing last week. I'm putting this down to a bad day at the office.
  25. The goals have to come at some point. The lads will be confident after last week.
