Why must brexiters compromise on anything? Brexit has happened. Surely its remainers who need to accept, shit or otherwise, that brexit has happened and live in the reality?
-
How might that work?
-
Buctootim seems to think that whingeing will lead to a possible chance of some wider future integration with the EU. You just seem to like whingeing. Buctootim seems convinced that his whingeing will lead to something to vote on come election time. I've merely said that there needs to be a manifesto before there's something to vote on. What do you hope to achieve by your perpetual whingeing about how shit brexit is and/or a post mortem of the whole process?
-
Let's see what teh manifestos are first. What you want, ain't what's on the agenda.
-
I'm not saying "bar any mention if it". I'm saying that whingeing achieves nothing of benefit, ditto rummaging through the ashes. As for discussion, in reality there has been none, just lots of "it's shit, I told you it would be". That also achieves fuck all. It's happened. It's shit. Stop whingeing and get on with it.
-
You mean you haven't worked out already that we can't It won't change what's done. It won't improve brexit. It won't achieve any tangible benefit. None.

I'm bored with this debate so won't get into anything else, but I can't agree with this at all. Player wise, black men make up a huge proportion of the players in pro football - over represented in % terms. If your point is coaching / management, sure the % is much lower, but it's wrong to say that it is a "fact" that non white people aren't "allowed" to progress. What I haven't seen is the stats of the racial split of the people that have got pro coaching badges. If the number of jobs being given to black graduates is out of kilter with their white counterparts then I think there's a case to answer, but I'm not aware that is the case.
-
And what would that achieve? We'll still be where we are. Brexit will still be shit. A post mortem doesn't resurrect a corpse.

Anecdotally, people I know who were double vaccinated and got covid shortly after were all OK describing the effects of the jab as worse than the virus. I know a couple of people who have had it more recently but had their jabs a while ago, who have been very poorly. Don't get me wrong, this could be down to the individuals, but I'll take an extra shot if its offered.
-
Exactly. It's a constantly changing situation. Cases were increasing before the schools went back so we can see where that's going. Autumn is all but here, many people's immunity is down as they've been slathering anti bac over themselves and living in bubbles so flu will be a bigger issue than it normally is. If doing nothing ain't the answer, and everyone agrees that lockdown shouldn't be the answer, then a booster jab feels like the obvious answer. I'm not persuaded by jabbing kids though as everything I've read says that jabbed and unjabbed people carry the same viral load anyway. Regardless, I'll carry on living a normal life. Work today, iow festival from tomorrow staying in a shared house, hugging and kissing etc. I'll have a flu jab next week, and take the booster if it's offered. What I don't get is people getting hot and bothered by the issue. Get on with life and either take the booster or don't if you're offered. I especially don't understand whingeing about the issue if you don't have an issue with the booster, seems a bit futile.

What's your issue with people getting a booster jab?

It's a forum mate, you post something, you've gotta expect comment or opinions. Nature of the beast.
-
To be fair, the fact that their tickets are cheap will be a reason why they've sold loads of tickets.
-
Yep, it's not a bad idea, and kids getting to watch a game either cheap or free is much better than seeing empty seats. I'm with you and Saint Garrett too as to why the ground is not full. Pricing is the only part of that which the club can do anything about, but they're hamstrung to a large extent as there'd be hell to pay of casual fans are paying less than the season ticket pro rata price.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Had we signed Gray for £1.2m, people would have whinged about a lack of ambition. I'll be honest, I laughed when Everton signed him, but he looks the biggest bargain in a long time.
-
I get that, but the harsh reality is that good players use us a stepping stone anyway so they're never ours for long. It's tough being where we are, layer cake etc.
-
Mane, I'll grant you, but as good Ings, Jay Rod or Lambert (at least in the PL) were, they were not players who got your off your feet in anticipation of what they'd do. Players that can do that are few and far between. Broja destroyed their full back for pace despite the other lads head start - we've not a player with the ability to do something like that in a long while. The kid had something.
-
Eh? There's no issue to talk about. It's happened. It's proved to be a crock of shit. We all feel the impact, albeit in varying degrees depending on our businesses. The gloating and name calling from idiots like you is about as helpful as, err, brexit. When you've figured out what the pathetic name calling and gloating will achieve, do let me know.
-
Ah yes, good shout. He was a put you on the edge of your seat player 👍
-
Your opinion is that brexit is shit, and that it is obvious that it would be. You've said that multiple times. We get it.
-
Good question. Since our PL return, nobody. The lad seems to have that rare ability to create something out of nothing and I agree, he must start against City.
-
What debate? You're just ranting a load of nonsense over and over. I've not read any opinion from you save that you think brexit is shit. It is, and we do. I can't imagine what you think venting your spleen to a bunch of strangers on a football forum is going to achieve.
-
Congratulations Whitey, that's some achievement. Hope you and your wife have a lovely day.
-
Thank you for the more considered explanation of my thoughts. Whingeing, especially on footy forum to a bunch of strangers, is utterly futile.
-
Oh the smugness is all part of a rejoin campaign. Good luck with that one mate.
