Yep. I don't think he was being asked to run at players on the week. It looked like he had a very different role, more of a link man. His performance wasn't eye caching, but it helped the team.

I've noticed that he gives us a slightly different shape. He drops off Ings in a free ish role making our system more 4231 than 4222. Although I'm not convinced by him in that role (I'd like to see Minamino there, Redmond left) I like the shape of the team.

There's no way Minamino loan would be free though, but I think it probable that we pay a reduced contribution to his wages if he plays. This loan seems to be part a Liverpool player getting half a season playing Premier league football for his/Liverpool's benefit, and part us getting a player to improve our team.
