I said sensible answers. Which houses? There is a long list of people wanting social housing. Government and Councils have no money to build more. Where would they get the 35 % deposit to buy one? Who would lend the mortgage? How could they satisfy a lender or a landlord that they could pay a mortgage? Why aren't they "normal" - is it because they are part of a minority group.

I thought that the lounge was meant to be for reasonably sensible discussion, not a billboard for bigoted views and stereotypes. I have asked twice on this thread where people suggest that travellers are supposed to live. Someone please give me a sensible answer, ie not the usual "would you want them in your garden ?" or "in a proper house" rubbish that has been posted.

Silly me for not seeing that glut of social housing going spare, those readily available mortgages, the piles of cash for deposits, the well paid jobs, and the obligation to give up a culture. I'm not condoning the behaviour of some travellers but people need to think about what the realistic alternatives before posting utter bolloc@s.

That team would more than hold it's own in this league. Nigel is going to have to work very hard to keep the fringe players happy.

Ui I'm not prepared to defend your allegations. You tar (no pun intended, honest) all travellers with the same brush. I know many travellers and showmen. They have Families including kids and elderly folk. Are they also to be classed as drug dealers, thieves,vandals etc ? For completeness, please also tell me where you say travellers should live.

To be fair to The9 I have heard similar. The words used to me to describe Cortese were "control freak", although it was stressed that he keeps out of the football side. Whether that's true I don't know. It may also be that some people are more sensitive about firm leadership and hands on management than others. Personally, i couldn't give a monkeys if it's true. I am just pleased that we are being run effectively and with authority after years of mismanagement.

Why? Just in case you and a few others might get upset by the "negativity". He was right to post it. It is then for others to decide what they make of it.

Posting lies is a different issue entirely. I come on here mainly to hear gossip and rumour. I take it for granted that I won't like all of what I read. I would never have a go at a poster for sharing something that I would rather not be true. In life not everything we are fed is palatable.

Why can some people not understand that rumours cannot be chosen? FWIW this one doesn't ring true but don't start with this "please don't be negative " crap when someone posts a rumour that you hope isn't true.

The timing of pricing and shirts all comes back to sponsorship. Any delay cementing the deal would hold things up. In any event, does the delay really matter? We can get season tickets and shirts in good time for the Season start so I really can't see the problem. I also don't get the lack of information point. We know about fixtures, prices, beer, tickets, shirts etc. All the info was shared on the os. I don't see the problem.

Spot on. A successful football club is self marketing. It just needs bean counters to set prices and punters to either pay or not.
