Don’t love that team but glad there’s a bit more of a solid midfield today. Really hoping Holgate proves me wrong but he is the one signing I think we made who is horrible. Big day for Mara too.

The legitimate only downside for me is the Tella sale, but overall I think we kept enough and added some good quality as well.

Couldn't agree with you more. With the Stephens injury and Che (alleged vice-captain with the proposed new deal) unlikely to be involved tomorrow, I'd quite like to see him given the armband to be honest.

I think it was Alfie that made a really good point there about Walker-Peters. He's probably one of the better players in this entire league and we've not read one agent-fed story in the media about him wanting out, potential moves etc. Let's obviously see if anything drastic happens in the last half an hour but got a lot of respect for him as he was definitely one of the ones who I could've seen going right away. Would make more Premier League teams than not in my opinion.

Exactly. He'll have wanted to stake a claim to get in the Germany WC squad and he's more likely to do that in the Champions League rather than the Championship. Hopefully has a good year and is able to slot back in to our PL team next season, or get that big move to Germany.
