Just look how easy it's been for Leeds, Forest etc to climb back to the prem. I don't think we would have gone under, someone would have got us but could just as easily been a joke consortium like Pinnacle.

I suggested this in the summer after watching a very assured looking Shaw in pre-season. It was largely shouted down though. I doubt Shaw being integrated into the first team this season happened by accident.

We did strengthen our defence....Clyne and Maya. Both starters every week and bought for an absolute steal.

I'd say there is a slim to no chance of this being announced.

I do agree with this to an extent but I think people forget that we have picked up a decent amount of points using our squad recently. There is only so long that people can say that Jos isn't good as back up when he's actually done a pretty decent job (as an example, Guly is another) I think we can contain with our existing squad, can't really change a game with it though. That's where we need improvement.

If DPS is happy having only signed 1 player in the window and not even early, then we all should be ; )

If you can find out how many players we have had in our history, it will tell you how many days this will run for. The lad is committed.

He would be a good squad player for us in our current state but isn't on the level of our other academy products, Bale, Walcott, Lallana and Shaw. Shame he left when he did but don't think he would have been that important for us.

May be a temporary measure to create a little transparency in the wake of NA's sacking but I guess only time will tell. Re transfers, not sure if NA geniuenly had up to the minute updates so I guess we'll see if the blackout on injuries was an NA thing.

Indeed, he did some coaching for my side when I was a nipper and most of the lads were technically better than him!

Until I see or hear something which is detrimental to the future of our club or any behaviour which impacts the players on the pitch, I will not be anti-Cortese but I appreciate the work which needs doing to improve supporter communication and PR with the wider press.

Don't doubt your source Krackers although I'm sure if you were to ask the multiple agents, brokers, Chairman etc on any one CEO's conduct during transfers, some stories would be favourable, others not so much.

From my perspective, the circle of "ex saints" which are the most vocal about NC have let personal issues and agendas shape all of this. People are quick to forget that we have ex saints employed by the club and others who are recognised for their past contributions so this theory that NC is trying to wipe out the clubs history is a nonesense. It's all just mates sticking up for mates in a select circle.

The fanbase is fine, only a few weirdos on here are bothered by it all.

Even Le Tiss would be fair game in that situation.
