Seriously, i am totally stunned by this. I could not see a way back for him what so ever - especially after his comments the other day. Now as fans let's get behind him if he wants to play for us. I'm still not 100% sure how stable he is....! but I think the last thing he will need now is us lot getting on his back as soon as he makes a wrong choice or a wrong pass. At the en dof th eday, when on song, he is a premiership player - there's no denying that. So let's hope we can get the best out of him because if we can he's a huge player for us.

Sibley always drops little titbits like that, but generally it could mean anything. from the basis of the reports last night about Puncheon, it could be that the PFA have sided with Puncheon and are not agreeing to the fine? -
Blimey, fair play to the lad if true. FWIW I did think he looked a bit distant and distracted, didn't seem to be quite on the same wave length at times. Not suprsing if that's the case!

It looks like we're activley scouting for a goal keeper though, and are sending the feelers out in all directions (abroad, in this league, lower league...). Good to see us planning for the future as Kelv won't be around for ever.
-
ah ok fair enough - didn't realise he'd play then.

Cup tied for the Carling cup and the europa, but not for the FA Cup afaik

They will not go bust, the FL will want to ensure integrity in the competition and will probably try to negotiate via the FA/PL advanced parachute payments to cover the losses. They shouldn't, but I'm pretty sure that will happen if it gets too serious.

Not good Crabs, but to be honest the club is a pretty lost cause anyway. Will be fun to rebuild them in L1 i guess....always a chacne to regroup. I had a similar situation on FM11 a while back, I took over Derby in the hope of getting them to stay up...but we didn't manage it. I then took the close season as an opportunity to raise as much capital as I could by selling alot of the squad, I reinvisted back in with the little I had and built a fairly nice side - we got up via the playoffs that year, then the following year we lost in the playoffs in the championship! So it was a nice achievement. On my current game I gave up with Villa, they offered me no money in my first full season and I could do much more with them without investing - and I didn't want to have to sell first. I'm starting a new game now, got to decide what club!

Agree with it. The only stumbling block here is that the player seemingly doesn't want to shift his life. and even if he was persuaded to, his agent is probably asking for some stupid things in his contract to reassure him on the move - such as guaranteed playing time, mega bonuses etc. Leicester pulled out of it...that says it all!

Saints Foundation is a great initiative and he is the mastermind behind that. The club now has strategies all over. There was a real restructuring process when they first game in, alot of really good people lost their jobs - but that had to happen in order for them to mould the club how they wanted to. He has some good idea's, he's a forward thinking guy and to be honest when you compare him to the days of Wilde then you don't know how lucky we have it right now. Seriously, some people need to take a step back, rewind a few years to what we did have....and then realise what we do have is actually pretty damn solid. He's done some silly things, but I think he's learnt from his mistakes - because this is all pretty new to him as well let's not forget. Be grateful, he didn't have to convince Markus to rescue us out of the mire did he?

I wonder if we can get this to 35 pages....just to add to the list of Charlie Austin, Jay Rod, Maynard and Hooper
-
They can do if it's in their interests to keep a member going, in terms of keeping the integrity of the league positions and results then it could be in their interests and other clubs.
-
Surely they can't get out of this now.....Surely? They should now be toast for sure.
-
We need to play this one cleverly. I'd expect to see Fonte and Chaplow back in the frame (probably the bench) and I'd expect Lambert to start the game Other than that we'll probably see the likes of W-P, Reeves, Shaw get a chance.
-
He's not the sort of player we can rely on every week, and at teh end of the day when the midfield was as disjointed as it was he had no chance what so ever. They also closed down too quickly and he couldn't find the space.
-
As I said last week, he will look half decent when he comes on and we're coasting. But he's not the player you want to have to call upon when you're chasing a game as he can no longer offer anything. Injuries have ruined him in all honesty. It's a shame because he was always a cracking prospect, but he's lost his touch and any bit of pace he once used to have.
-
Glad he's here. Good player and the sort of player that should lift everyone. He's pretty high profile in international terms.

True....although I don't think we'd bid £4m for Hooper if we didn't! I don't think we have much more than that though. -
