  1. But we're not relying on others to screw up at all are we? Do you ever take a second to think before you post? Maybe you're the brainless ****? The results we've had in our favour over the last weekend have been bonuses (it wasn't critical that they slipped up) but with our games in hand, it is in our hands - well and truly. I believe it's ours to lose now.
  2. Well observed! (Although if we don't win it will not be the end of the world)
  3. A quick browse on the posh forums and they've given up on automatic already...
  4. Very good news, Jackson has been a massive player for them this season and Elliot is their first choice and best GK - I think they've only got a kid as backup. If they've been out for while it kind of makes sense why they've struggled massively.
  5. Wow, what a great weekend of results. Hudders drawing, Posh loosing, Bompey loosing and we win....!! Tomorrow is massive, I'm sure the players will be buzzing after this result knowing they can get into 2nd on the back of this. I'd honestly say it's ours to lose now.
  6. boyd is class
  7. they do still look shaky at the back.
  8. 1-0 to mk dons anyone? that seems to be how football logic works.
  9. **** me they should have at least 3 so far.
  10. crikey, how many chances to P'boro want. you can see how they score so many...
  11. All p'boro so far, some good saves by the Dons GK
  12. £0?
  13. No one decent available within our budget I'd guess.
  14. Doesn't sound like we'll get anyone after listening to Adkins. Talks about having midfield options already in the building, and having a big squad to deal with situations like this.
  15. The articles credibility is ruined by this statement: "£10million deal. -The whole package will be the biggest paid for a teenager" Rooney? Theo...?
  16. Posh will not win every remaining game this season, so as long as we continue as we are then we'll be ahead of them.
  17. lol - good one Jaidi. He seems a bit of a comedy legend around the place, sometimes unintentionally by the looks of it...

    Run-in

You can't really compare the results from the start of the season to how we will do now. (Leyton Orient/ MK Dons/ Rochdale etc) The games under Wilkins were a total write-off for many reasons, but we're now a different kettle of fish.
  19. Out for the season apparently.
  20. DC is close to a return, we also have Forte and Guly who can play up top (and even a recall option on Doble's loan) The striker positions are the least of our worries - esp. when you have Alex and Lallana who can bang in goals from out wide too. Midfield is the only area we're really short in.
  21. He went to Cross the ball, got his feet totally mixed up, missed the ball and fell on his arse - and it went for a GK. thankfully we were 2-0 up!
  22. Good post this. Yeovil game was a fine example of some fans impatience, we were 2-0 up and controlling the ball by passing it around and they were moaning as we were not getting it forward quick enough...!!!
  23. Looked like a Diamond to me. Hammond sitting - Lallana at the point of the diamond, Chaplow on the right tucked in and Oxo tucked in on the left. Very narrow and as I said above, we played into Wednesdays hands a bit.
  24. It was a good solid performance, nothing special - but we never looked in trouble at any stage. Tactically I felt it wasn't right in the first half - everything was too congested and we were kind of playing into Wednesdays hands and making it easy for them to defend against us, but on the other side they rarely threatened and we were solid and controlled at the back. - lots of pretty possession and triangles from us, but little impact in the first 45. 2nd half started slow...but we eventually started picking it up and pushed Wednesday back - notably by getting wide and getting Oxo running at players down the flanks, the corner which lead to the goal was a direct result of our wing play. That knocked the stuffing out of Wednesday and from that moment on the game was won, great to get the 2nd so soon after as it really made it a comfortable end for us. Barnard's work-rate is immense and what he did to get the ball to Lambo was fantastic - but boy, what a finish by Lambo - just watched it back on the TV to see if it's as good as I thought it was....you betcha. Overall nothing to scream home about - but Wednesday are in a false position, they have far better players than their league standing shows and could have potentially been a threat - but we were professional and solid throughout and the result was never in doubt. Great day for us.
  25. Brentford 1- 0 Leyton Orient. Good start for us in the scores states. Would be nice to keep that gap between 6th and the rest as big as possible.
