Isn't it too late to sign him now though derry? I think the loan window is only open for domestic based loans, we'd have to wait until january to get him. Unless Fiorentina terminate his contract.

No one is having a pop at him? We're simply observing that he's not quite right this season, anyone with eyes can see that. Hopefully he sorts himself out because he really miss his influence. I don't understand why people seem to think that anything at this club is beyond criticism and everything is all rosy and fine.
  3. We're in L1......Mowbray would be an awesome appointment. So would pearson, so would Atkins and so would Howe
  4. never listen to that site!!! Kightly is also out injured for another 3 months
  5. serious? walsall fan's wanted shot of him last year. They couldn't stand his management style.
  6. Our start hasn't been disastrous (yet) by any means. Ok, it couldn't have been more traumatic but there is still alot of time to get going. This time last year after 5 games Norwich had 4 pts i believe, and Leeds were away on top with 15 points from 15. Football is a funny old game and the teams that often start on fire, often finish with a wiper.
  7. It depends, if Cortese really wants his man is he prepared to back off and trust the guy he puts in charge? IMO i felt he never really trusted Pardew from the off and that trust got less and less as the season progressed. I think he needs to feel he has someone he can trust and someone who was his first choice, then he'll let him get on with it. He'd be silly not to.
  8. He was the physio at scunny, then was promoted to manager - similar to Les Reed at Tranmere. and they do play good football, on the ground, quick and fast. Some people seem to think scunny play hoofball, but they couldn't be further away from the truth.
  9. I also find it odd that apparently Howe is good enough for S****horpe as a replacement for Adkins if he comes (according to their forums), but collectively people on here aren't sure about him. Personally, he'd be a cracking appointment imo.
  10. apparently the current scunphorpe GK coach was at the game on Saturday (kevin pressman) I still don't think anythings been decided. It's a big decision for Cortese and he needs to make sure he gets this bang on.
  11. His name has been floating about, apparently he has connections to Cortese. but then so does every italian based manager by the sounds of it!
  12. Don't worry, there are also people questioning if O'Neill is good enough for us.
  13. Alpine saint would certainly be a wow appointment. Quite exciting actually, as it'll mean we'll be getting high quality cover for every player in our team.
  14. +1 he's just going through a bit of a lean spell at the moment. But i guess it's better to have it now than at the business end of the season...
  15. I still believe that whatever happens we'll still get into the top 6, the decision next week will go a long way to deciding if we're still in with a chance of being champions.
  16. Bale's deal was paid up, we re-negotiatied the added bonuses in the deal so we could get the money up front. I believe we forefited the % of sale too. Oh and we got Tommy Forecast as part of the deal, so all is good. I believe the same happened with the Wallcott Deal.

It is really bad, Davis is busy relaying the turf when we have corners. Never known it to be this bad, and we've relaid it a few times since we've been at St Mary's.

Good player, getting better with every game. thought he'd ruined his knee for their first goal tough, as his studs got caught in the bloody rubbish pitch, but luckily he was ok.
  19. Those were the days!
  20. calm down slightly, he's not out to ruin the club - he is just making silly inexperienced decisions. I'm hopeful he will learn and hopefully by the middle of the week we'll all be pulling in one direction again.
  21. I actually don't think Curb's is a bad shout if im honest. He ticks a few boxes in that he's got promotions in the football league, he's had consistent solid seasons in the top flight and he's experienced throughout english football. Sounds like the sort of guy that could take us right through to the PL, which is what we need now. Some people have never taken to Curbs though and i'm not sure why, i actually think he'd be one hell of a coup at this level.
  22. Or we need Cortese to realise the errors of his ways and let a manager, manage. I don't think he ever trusted Pardew. Stranger things have happened.
  23. thank **** for that that favourites tag is cursed on us anyway. weren't we favorites when we first came down into the champ? that went well!

Not ITK on that Derry, just a hunch. Groin injuries can be an utter nightmare to get rid of, esp. when you're a big fella. Sometimes surgery is the only option, but it doesn't usually result in a long-term lay off (well it could if we keep bloody well playing him with the sodding injury)
  25. Well that's one way to get the players motivated at HT i guess.
