  1. i have a feeling stock has one of those funny ''injuries''
  2. injured good end to the half by brentford, sounds like we're defending well up the flanks though.
  3. lallana hits the bar, ****
  4. Leeds losing again, to swindon bad news for us though, they're one of the teams we need to catch.
  5. interesting, just had a quick gander on their forum, they're surprised and don't know where he is... no Gillett in our squad tonight either, which is surprising considering he's been in and about our squads recently.
  6. i think the reason is that we planned for this game without morgan, so alot of the tactics/shape were decided when Morgan was deemed unavailable, so probably doesn't make sense to throw it all out at the last min.
  7. beats the days of Olly/Patto as the subs. (no disrespect to them...)
  8. Subs: Bialkowski, Harding, Thomas, Jaidi, Waigo, Holmes, Schneiderlin.
  9. Confirmed: #saintsfc team vs Brentford: Davis. Otsemobor, Seaborne, Fonte, Mills. Antonio, James, Wotton, Lallana. Lambert, Barnard so we put all that effort into getting morgans ban overturned, and he doesn't play. maybe he has a knock?
  10. to replace gillett i'd guess. current word is that we're looking to keep gillett (donny cannot match what we want for him)..and bring in another midfielder on loan as cover. But that could change by the end of the week.
  11. This is a massive game for us, and one which we cannot afford to loose. we're now only 3 pts off the bottom 4, to slide back into there again would finish any playoff hopes.
  12. if thats the case, match what Donny want for stock and let that be it.
  13. they should just let us beat them as a goodbye present.
  14. The cup games always bring out the extra 10% - look at Notts county pushing wigan to a replay, scunny making it tough for city and then leeds efforts v spurs and man u. You'd have to say all those prem teams have better squads than pompey too. and with it being a derby as well, i very much doubt you'll see the gulf in divisions. It will be played at 100mph and if you're not up for it, you'll be left behind. It will be very very tight and i wouldn't be surprised if it ended in a draw.
  15. ''oh gawd, our last ever game as a club could be a defeat to that lot!!!! Nooooo ...'' lol
  16. ****ing great draw, cannot wait for this. St Mary's will be bloody rocking for that game, it'll be quality. bring them on....!!!

if we do manage to get up, you have a point - not sure. but for L1 he'd be a good squad player.
  18. sounds like he was thrown in at the deep end today, he played as their lone striker! ''Paterson - 4 - I hope this is purely him not gelling or not being suited to the 4-5-1 formation, should of scored that complete sitter. I actually wasn't even sure if he was playing from time to time. I will give him the benefit of doubt with this being his first game. But I also blame Tilson for not giving him a strike partner.''

    Fish Mills

really pleased to hear he did well. it was his big chance against MK Dons in midweek, he did pretty well i thought and took his chance with both hands. - pard's has been openly critical of him, saying that he's worried about his progress and may have to look to loan him. but he's shown the right response and a great attitude to put himself right in the frame again. He's always had talent, that's why man u were looking at him 4 years ago when he was a youth player.
  20. that's the one thing that frustrates me about Holmes, i think he's got good talent (fantastic crossing ability)...but his lack of pace is a worry, and in this day and age it's a pretty critical attribute if you want to be a real success as a wide man.
  21. great goalkeeping....(!) but good anticipation from antonio all the same. cheers for the clip

he's been pretty good in most games he's played this season IMO - even last season he was one of our better players. he's not the tallest - but he makes up for that with his superb positioning and reading of the game, i think he's our best defender in terms of reading of situations - he's got so much experience in that head of his - i'd also like to see him stay on next year as a squad player, i think he can do 1 more year...

he's a fantastic squad player and I'd keep him for next season too. (i think his contract is up in 2011?)
