tbf i'd rather have him than bloody Adams.
-
****ing hell, what a pillock he sounds. Please no...
-
There is definitely something going on re: Strachan. Let's put the points up... 1) - Solent confirmed that he has refused to comment on speculation linking him with our job 2) - saints have failed to deny that he was a staplewood yesterday. 3) - betting suspended as bookies making him a dead cert. Seems like he definitely is a contender, i just hope he fancies the challenge.

http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=14752 but you presented your argument in a better way than delldays tbf.
-
Bloody frustrating.... I really liked watching him at the start of last season, one of the reasons we looked so good.... He's unfortunately just one of those injury prone players, who'll end up retiring early.
-
i don't remember anyone mentioning micky adams tbh? although i may have missed it.
-
South today ''understand'' the shortlist has been narrowed down in the last 24 hours. Tony Adams, Micky Adams and Coppell were mentioned.
-
Oldknow IMO.

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/SeasonTickets/0,,10280~1640471,00.html as the thread says... reasonable prices imo - the price range i kind of expected.
-
South today understand that we may look to implement a continental style of management, with a manager working under a DOF....
-
Sounds like they want to appoint someone who will create a buzz IMO. I don't think they'd sack Wotte if they were just looking at run of the mill appointments. but we'll see....
-
He wasn't. He was contracted with us for another year anyway, as academy director. But his contract was altered so it read ''Head coach..''
-
Seeing as you saw a fair bit more of watford than us - what is your opinion on boothroyd? He's a bit more than ''hoofball'' imo. He's a good shout.
-
Maybe, i kind of feel like that. but on the other hand, Wotte wasn't a great success here and if he was kept on it would be kind of ''under review''. Makes sense for the new guys to try and find the guy they believe can be with us for the long term, no more of these short season jobs - he did say rapid changes...
-
I agree with you totally. Let's push the bloody boat out and win the damn league for once. (ok, maybe that is a little too far....) - but the playoffs are the main target - the new guys feel the same, as they've not hung around making the big decision re: wotte...
-
I agree. I have nothing but complete and utter respect for the man. He's worked his socks off all summer looking at players, watching next seasons oppo and planning the pre-season preparations. When he had an opportunity to leave us, he stuck around - and i will always be greatfull for that. all the best wotte...
-
Now that we actually need a manager (Wotte has gone according to Solent) i'd say yes to Boothroyd. has a nack of finding decent players for little fees - he did play good football on the deck with watford last season tbf - they looked quite good with Tommy smith floating about.
-
blimey, that's a bolt out of the blue. now the real debate can start...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8141427.stm here you go...Mark Fry's full interview for South today.
-
I actually heard whispers of this last week....fantastic...
-
Unfortunately they were his two ''horror shows'' but on the whole, he was a very capable championship defender. Will be class in L1.
-
He's wanted out since January. It doesn’t help when he really doesn't have a position though, I’m sure he's as confused as the rest of us. tbh i don't think players like him are the right sort of players for a L1 scrap - that's what it'll be, not pretty one touch football and flicks. It'll be a shame to see him go, but I won't be losing sleep over it.
-
He's due to Start against Bournemouth - i guess he'll sign now too.
-
I don't think sky can make their mind up. on their review they've just said ''....has completed his takeover of southampton football club and confirmed that Mark Wotte will stay on as manager''. we'll wait and see i guess, lots more to unravel over the next month.
-
He was at Totton last night - he's apparently been hanging on for the past 7 days, i just hope it's not too late.
