  1. Nathan Byrne? Not sure, think we need to be aiming higher personally. Vallery is supposed to be decent....maybe he can become our backup.
  2. Thought he would be a good addition for us when we got him, but he really isn't great. Talks well though, which is enough for some.
  3. He's earned a longer deal for me. I think he's been here enough time to asses the squad, he knows what we have, what we won't have and what we need. It would be pretty dumb to ditch him now and get someone else who would have to asses the squad all over again. I think he wants an answer pretty quickly, but going by the way the club ****ed around with Puel then I'm not holding my breath.
  4. That last-min goal summed up our season. So many times we've lapsed in the final seconds of halves, just unprofessional really and a genuine lack of quality and leadership at the back. It was 1 long ball which bounced. Horrific defending by Stephens who really hasn't pushed on, good on the ball, but very poor at his actual job. Need some major surgery on that back 4 this summer, without question. Pace/Power for sure, but leaders...people who will shout and organise, there's not really any of that back there. We certainly look better coached over the last few weeks, players seem to have an idea of their roles and what the team is trying to do - so that's a positive. It looks to me as if Hughes has come in and thought he'd go for it at WHU, then realised we simply don't have the defensive players to do that - so we dropped off and started to play more on the break (more niggly/aggressive attitude from the players to win 50/50's etc). Sometimes it's the basics like that which get you over the line in games. But overall this is a key summer. I don't want to hear any back patting ******** about how well run we are or how our ''cheapies' got us over the line. We need action. We need top centre backs through the door, top replacements for anyone we sell (i.e Ryan). This wasn't a great escape, it was a ****ing lucky escape. Too many people at all levels have taken their eyes off the ball, so I think it's only fair that as fans we now start to get some answers on our future - what are the new owners about? What are their plans? If i'm honest, I couldn't give a flying **** about how many academies they open in China, that doesn't interest me. I want to know what they'll do to improve the team in the country they are in.
  5. Rabbit caught in headlights. I have no idea what his plan was and I don't think the players knew either. Nice guy, but he made everything too complicated than it needed to be.
  6. He sucks the life out of clubs. When he's sacked by Leicester in a few weeks lots of people will say ''Oh, but he got them top 10, what more do they want?''. We limped to 8th last year, maybe not even limped..crawled. Somehow we got 8th. With the players he has avaliable at Leicester he should be doing better. I feel sorry for their fans who have to put up with his non-chat and sleepy football. The fact is that we made two horrific appointments in a row in Puel and MP. Neither had anything good about them, just killers of football.
  7. Eh? They need 3 points for 100 points, they already have 105 goals.
  8. Man City better watch out.
  9. Back in 2005 iirc? Good times.
  10. Olsson? are you having a giraffe??? He is absolutely tosh, lower league player at best. And if we want another non-scoring forward, Ayew is our man….
  11. They are the lowest scoring team in the top flight, their top scorrer has 6 goals. They haven't scored a goal in 4 games. They were utterly toothless against us. They know it's up.
  12. We've been picked for a live game on 'Sky Sports Mix' - I think that's their free sky sports channel? Other live games are Liverpool v Brighton and Newcastle v Chelsea. Poor sky. It all promised so much more for them.
  13. I don't know why people keep thinking Swansea are suddenly going to score buckets. They are the lowest scoring team in the league with just 27 goals over 37 games. Their top scorer has 7 goals. We thought we were goal shy.
  14. Yeah, don't go listening to that. It should have a health warning!
  15. 99.9% relegated. They just need to colour their position red, which will happen on Sunday.
  16. It is. Swansea are relegated.
  17. Well, that's killed Sky's grand finalie on Sunday. Absolutley nothing to play for at either end.
  18. tbf he has been injured a fair bit this year. He was a regular for Blackburn.
  19. That article has really depressed me. I know there are people who will say there are no club quotes, it’s not come from the club etc… but just read the way it's written.....it's been spoon-fed by the same patronising idiots who spoon-fed us the ''We wouldn't expect to lose our players to Everton, let alone the manager'' nonsense. I really hoped we'd learned our lesson. But going by that the fear is that we feel our ''success'' last night is justification of our approach. It's not. The reason we were in this position is because of our approach FFS. I noticed there are no references to the £19m ****ed up the wall on Carrillo. Are the club hoping we'll forget that one? Whoever keeps spewing out this patronising garbage needs to do one.
  20. The weird thing is, I wasn't that nervous after we scored. I was more nervous before. It was probably because Swansea offered so little, we were barley under any attack after we scored. Their efforts were summed up in the 94th min when a long kick just went into the arms of Mccarthy.. It was a pretty comfortable closing out of the game to be honest.
  21. I reckon they are a shoe-in to sign up Yaya Toure for a last pay day.
  22. I think Gabbiadini is quite a reserved/shy type of character, so whilst it often looks like he's being ignored it's usually because he's not one to put himself forward. He's pretty well liked I'm sure, but he's just a very quiet guy.
  23. He is an absolute ****. Look at how he ****ed around at WBA when he didn't get his move, then look at how he's ****ed around at Stoke when he hasn't been a 'regular'. He hasn't scored a goal in over 2 years. He needs to drop down to a lower league.
  24. More club back-patting nonsense in that article.
  25. Maybe we could strike a deal for Harry Reed....(one thing going for us, we have players like Gallagher/Targett etc who would be first picks for 90% of NPC teams)
