  1. Not sure what video you watched tbh. Whatever floats your boat. But yeah, good to see Jay back looking sharp...and same for Gazza.
  2. Would imagine Butland would be in there before him.
  3. Well, I didn't see that coming 30mins in, I don't think anyone did. Incredible game and that's why we go back week after week..... for moments like that. We did start the game very sloppy, It seemed as if we decided to play a crazy high line and although we were attacking....as soon as they won the ball back, they broke on us with pace and accuracy, but we were so deep up field that we could never recover. Unfortunately they hit us for 2 before we could recognize that and change it, but we went a bit deeper, shut the midfield up and it was more of a calm first half. I thought Clasie was a passenger, he was utterly atrocious in the first half. I'm dying to see some consistency from the kid, but there are games where he honestly looks like a ball boy has been left out there. It just passed him by, he couldn't handle the intensity at all. The half time changes were needed, if I'm honest I didn't think we'd make them straight away - but we took the gamble and took off the incredibly ineffective Tadic and the ballboy. The 2nd half was a different match due to t his. Big Vic made a huge difference, he bossed Allen in midfield and gave Emre Can a lot more of a game. He was strong, powerful, accurate in his passing and positional sense was sound. Romeu was a lot better as he wasn't having to carry his midfield partner, and it allowed him to influence the game a little more through the middle - which he did. I love Mane through the middle, but when he plays from the right and cuts in...he's very effective. The first goal was a peach, but his 2nd was just as good - such good strength to hold of Sakho and accurate in the finish. There have been complaints we haven't been clinical enough, but we put them complaints to bed right there. I thought Pelle had a much better 2nd half, the whole team just seemed to nit together a hell of a lot better with Vic holding the midfield. Pelle's goal was a peach, loved the way he bought himself a yard and just bent it. Cracking finish. This is a game which will live long in our memories, one of the great games at St Mary's for sure. We've often been accused of falling away at the tail ends of seasons, but maybe this time we can actually finish strong and who knows what the hell could happen.
  4. Looks like Firmino has done is hammy, he's out of the brazil squad for the friendlies. Also Milner is suspended as well, and Moreno is injured (although he doesn't seem to know how to defend when i've seen him)
  5. The 2nd half was a total doddle for Liverpool tbh. The game was dead at 1-1.
  6. Once they get a manager there, he'll flourish.
  7. Fellani playing in front of him, how utterly depressing for any player. I do feel sorry for De Gea playing behind that heap of ****, what a truly **** team they are.
  8. To be fair, I don't remember too much complaint from us in the refs face. Most of the ground were in a state of ''WTF?'' shock.
  9. Seriously MLG, get yourself a girlfriend.
  10. He really was terrific. He speaks so much sense and has so much knowledge. Could be a pundit full time if he wanted, but he's got a bigger job to do.
  11. Well it's no surprise he holds that view, given that he's the serial Davis hater.
  12. So he'll be in charge of negotiating transfers and identifying players then. If I were a Derby fan I'd be ****ting bricks. This has got financial oblivion written all over it. And how is he going to commute from Bournemouth to Derby every day? We know how much he loves his sandbanks retreat and ****ing over Bournemouth.
  13. Well we won't have Caulker, which will give us an advantage straight away. The goals we let in during that game were mainly down to his total ineptness and inaability to be a defender.
  14. [h=1]Manchester United, Arsenal & Barcelona scouts at Rennes vs Lyon[/h]A number of scouts from some of Europe’s finest clubs are present tonight at the Roazhon Park to watch the Ligue 1 encounter between Rennes and Lyon. From the Premier League, Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham United, Southampton and Stoke City representatives are present tonight. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Köln, Celta Vigo, Malaga, Espanyol, Fiorentina, Lorient and Nantes also have people at the fixture this evening.
  15. We had a great team back in 13/14 that should have probably done better, but I'm still of the opinion that Cortese knew he'd overspent, the family weren't happy and he saw the walls start to crumble. He jumped before the stick would have been branded at him. We'd hit a level, players were tapped up and decided their futures were elsewhere. There's nothing NC or MP could have done to stop that either, but they left and it was painted perfectly as if KL was running us to the ground. The investment in the management and the team after that showed it was anything other than that, and it showed that as a club we were a hell of a lot more stronger than a few individuals. In general terms, I never quite understand why fans believe spending £££££££ is the answer to everything. It's not and it's really not the way I want to see us go. Fair enough, it looks sexy and exciting when you see us break our transfer record...but that's all it is, it doesn't actually equal success or more points. That will come down to the management and the coaching above anything else. I'd say the most important tasks this summer will be to tie this management team down and all the coaches. We then have a clear direction for the long-term, the worst thing we could have for next season is 10 months of Koeman ''is he staying, is he going?'' ''he doesn't look committed anymore" ********. That needs to be sorted out before anything else this summer.
  16. We're not going to sign Laporte or Krickowaik. Both out of our league, too expensive and have higher ambitions for a start. Still feels a little too early to be putting in targets, we still don't know what will happen with Mane and Wanyama. Neither have showed themselves in a decent light this season, so they won't be too sought after I'd have thought.
  17. Still of the opinion that a side with Morgan, Wanyama, Lallana, Lambert, Shaw, Lovren should have got to a final - and would have, if MP had taken it seriously.
  18. Watching teams like Watford and Palace in the FA Cup, it makes me realise what an almighty chance we had over the last 3 seasons. Namely one season in particular. Cheers Poch.
  19. And De Bruyne...and Betrand......he's dropped a couple of clangers there, it has to be said.
  20. I would Imagine Utd, City and Chelsea will be going for 'names'. They need big windows by buying proven CL/International players. Guys like Marquinous (sp), Ramos, Laporte, Stones etc. I 'think' Liverpool have already wrapped up the free transfer of Schalke cb Matip (very good player). Virgil is totally immense though and as the seasons go on he will attract interest, but I'd like to think we're safe for a season or 2 yet!
  21. It was a terrific first half, we really should have been out of sight. There was always going to be a stoke reaction, ultimately it did get them a goal, but we re-organised ourselves and reverted to the first half style again. It was a very composed and confident away performance and for the most part we kept them at arms length. A huge game to win in for what our goals are this season. That red card - what the actual ****? Centre forwards/defenders make those sort of ''challenges'' 100 times a game, how in gods name is that a foul, let alone a straight red for christ sake?
  22. This result is of no surprise really. Not entirely sure why the media went all gushy over Utd after they'd beaten Shrewsbury and FCM comprehensively, not exactly the strongest of tests. They're still ****.
  23. The quality in this league this year is absolutely diabolical. This WBA v Utd game sums it all up.
  24. Not sure how you can label that at the manager, some of them have been ref clangers and other's have been players just losing their heads. (Mane and Wanyama spring to mind)
