Well, from what I've read, they won't be spending big - because they can't. What with the stadium and training ground, the focus is on unearthing players that aren't quite as well known for smaller fee's, who can be developed. Very similar to our model and one of the reason's Mitchell was snapped up by them. I remember seeing some direct quotes from MP along the lines that they're not able to offer the fees and wages the big clubs can, so they have to be more clever. I don't see how they can offer what we want for Morgan, their days of spending £25m+ on players are over for now.

Or Chambers.... their careers have gone sooo well since they moved, yet we don't ever hear anyone say ''they should have stayed here''. Wenger is on some sort of mission to turn Chambers into a quality CB (and typically, he's getting praised for it....), but I don't see it, he'll just drift around like Jenkinson. Good move Chambers.

It just won't happen, they may be interested, but I cannot see how or why it would happen. The transfer fee for a start would be impossible for Spurs to hit, and It wouldn't benefit Morgan in the slightest. He'd have the same chance of getting CL football with us as he would with them, i.e very slim. He'd ruin his reputation here if he jumped to that hole, as he'd have been proven to be speaking a load of trash about needing to play in the CL. I'm convinced bigger clubs will be interested and he should hold out for them. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge him a move - but if he ends up at Spurs he will be rightly ridiculed.

I think most neutral fans feel the same about that club, so could be anyone! Maybe even a Manc. They're a club living on past glories, the reality is that they are now in the bracket of clubs outside of the top 4, same level as Spurs. They will have to get used to that. What they won in the past doesn't mean anything, they are now a notch or 2 down from the 'top' clubs in this league. Players will leave because they can achieve more at a bigger club. Like ourselves, they also have a position on the transfer food chain. What annoys me more than anything is the constant media love-in. But it doesn't help that the media is dominated by ex-liverpool people. I wish they'd all just wake the **** up, realise that last season was odd and not a fair reflection on the size of their club in this day and age. If they want to be up there with City, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea, then they will need to stop splashing £20m on LOLVren's.

He had the resources here, but he made it work. It's no mean feat going from L1 to the PL like we did and he will always be fondly remembered down here. Loved his constant positively, and the records we broke under his stewardship. A genuinely top bloke and I hope he gets a good job sooner rather than later.

If anyone wants a bit of a giggle, head over to the Spurs forums and have a read through their transfer thread: http://www.glory-glory.co.uk/community/threads/transfer-rumour-thread.7527/page-16 A few highlights - some ITK's genuinely think they have a chance of getting bale back. And also that they're still even in for Jay, even though he's signed a new contract. That was just in place to drive up his price apparently. Oh, and that they're pushing really hard to get Morgan and that Morgan really wants to join Spurs. It's a load of waffle, good laugh though. Oh what I'd give to finish above them, even if it's on GD.

Was more of a shock lol than anything amazingly drastic. Didn't expect to see a score like that, you took my post a little too seriously!

I wouldn't wish QPR on anyone. It's a mess from top to bottom.
-
I will sit back and watch the meltdown continue over the summer. Rumours on twitter that Ibe has rejected his contract as well.
-
Really interesting SA - Cheers for the write ups.

lol christ, 4-0 to City. Glad I didn't make the call to go tonight!
-
Weird coincidence, but yeah - Hull played Man Utd at home on the final day, lost 0-1 But newcastle played Villa away and also lost 1-0. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Does Benteke's goal not count? Still don't think Gazza is up to it, Saturdays game didn't really provide him with much of a test. We'll go with Davis without question.
-
Mangala cannot seem to deal with pace or direct forwards, so Mane and Long should have fun up against him. I think he'll play as City probably want to run the rule over him to work out if he is good enough for next year. Depending on what happens tomorrow, it could be a nothing game. Even though Chelsea played a strong team last night, with the pressure off and nothing to play for it lowers your game - so hopefully we can have that scenario.
-
I think it's more than a rumour, I believe according to Koeman that it's nailed on for him to get some game time.
-
I read something a few months back (from Reed I think) that indicated Stephens and Turnbull will be added to our first team squad for next season. From what I've gleaned from Koeman's comments is that we'll keep Toby if possible and that will be that - or if we can't, we'll just sign to replace him. I think generally he's happy with our CB options, and why shouldn't he be given the record this year! I'm a bit disappointed in Gardos to be honest. It seems as if he's another expensive CB addition who isn't fancied here. Not as hopeless as Forren though. I think he's shown glimpses, especially Arsenal away in the cup - but in other games he has looked very clumsy and slow.
-
I don't think the club will know for sure until pre-season, after it's healed from the op and they can have another check. The general theme with this sort of injury is 9-12 months. So I'd play it safe and get a keeper in with the intention of them being number 1 for the entire season.

Pelle's v QPR for me, that was epic. Important goal as well seeing as QPR had just equalized, with a great goal from themselves as well. I agree with Max above as well - the 6th at the weekend was quality, so quick and fluid. I don't think many teams would have been able to defend against that quick move.
-
Yeah true, Liverpool looking to the future with Pirlo by the looks of it. But I don't begrudge Morgan a move what so ever this summer, I think he's given us 7 brilliant years and he deserves his shot now. In my opinion he's at the level of Juve, Bayern, Real, PSG....so I'd love to see him turn out at any of those clubs. At least we wouldn't have to see him play against us every year. I still laugh at Spurs believing they have a chance of getting him, clueless.
-
The problem is that the media is full of ex-Liverpool people, and it becomes a complete cringe fest. Look at Sky with the gerrard stuff, I mean christ - could it get any more nauseating? But expect the tripe about Liverpool being the best club for him, he should stay for a couple of years and continue to develop ''under one of the best managers''. But what if Liverpool wanted JWP? ''It would be a good move for Liverpool, he deserves to play at a big club. Rogers will handle him brilliantly'' bla bla bla
-
Carraghers rant on MNF last night was typical Liverpool sentimental guff. But seriously, this is just beautiful to watch. A total copy of what we went through last year potentially happening to them, whilst this year we start signing our main men to new contracts. Who's ambitions have changed Rogers?? Most Liveprool fans have said that they can get £30m and just reinvest, but seriously? reinvest in what exactly? all of his signings over the past few years have been dog ****e, so good luck with that. In the words of Keegan....''I'll love it if we finish above them, I'll love it''
