  1. What would have happened if Cortese had sacked Pochettino in December....?
  2. They've signed Barry as well, for a free.
  3. Can't see Chelsea ever needing him. They've got some top class young midfield talent anyway. Van Ginkel for one....paid £8m last year for him.
  4. He'll be more of an asset than Osvaldo will ever be, so we've added 1 extra player to our squad straight away for no money. In theory, opening the door for some key positions to be filled with some excellent players.
  5. No one will want to pay for Osvaldo! not a chance...
  6. I'll be Tadier. Judging by Inter fans comments, they want him to say and they believe we are getting the better end of the deal. Can't shrug about that.
  7. Together as one. https://audioboo.fm/boos/2361642-nigel-adkins-southampton-can-cope-after-exodus?utm_campaign=embed&utm_content=retweet&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
  8. Let's be positive for a mo. Forster Clyne - Fonte - Vlaar - Rojo Morgan - Wanyama Gaston - Davis - Tadic Pelle Bench - Boruc, Virgil, Targett, Ings, Tadier, Gallagher, JWP Then you've got Reed, McQueen, Stephens, Isgrove, Yoshida, Jos (?), Gazzaniga beyond that. Stronger rounded squad than last year? that's not bad...really...(and I think we'll sell Cork, just a hunch) Obviously though, the bond and team work will take time. But if we get those over the line, we won't go down - I'm sure.
  9. Yeah, we were. Took a look when we were pursing Gaston, they were both @ Bolonga together. He's one that's been on our radar for a bit I think, same as Redmond, Forster.
  10. Everton have got their man - Lukaku is set to join on a perm. basis. £25m deal.
  11. lol wtf, Jos is a nutcase!
  12. I must admit, it does seem as if an incredibly unhealthy environment has been allowed to grow over the last 3 or so years. Nicola Cortese's dream collapsing like a pack of cards, just like he said it wouldn't. But I also think the board have handled every situation thrown at them this year with complete and utter failure. It could and should have been handled a hell of a lot better in my opinion.
  13. His head was still in Liverpool.
  14. I want the club to be true to their word and stick by it. As you said, Benteke wanted to go and also Luis Suarez last year. They both stuck around.
  15. No, he was spoken to and made aware before Ralf went live - 100% fact. What I'd naively assumed though, is that before going live witch such strong statements, that they'd actually got his commitment on the matter. Club have played a blinder, fans will now blame Morgan and understand the clubs decision to let him go. I believe the saying goes...''We've been duped'' once again.
  16. They all want to leave, so indicates that they were all in this together and all want out together. And Spurs aren't a CL club.
  17. The togetherness was seemingly very strong, seeing as 1 of the lads going has created a bit of a domino effect. They were all in it together, and still are by the looks of it.
  18. I think they've easily been talking about the events of the last day, the interview etc. They're a close bunch and Morgan is a key member of that, so it's pretty easy to work out that a few players are on his side...and maybe someone took offence to that and said they needed to show a bit more respect to the club who pay their wages, then they fire back with the club should respect our wishes...etc etc. Probably the best transcription that will be made of it.
  19. Van Gaal's tough man approach could easily backfire. That's all he's portraying in the media.
  20. It happens everywhere and more often than we think. It's a good opportunity to make a big deal out of it though.
  21. This is the tweet - no idea how reliable the fella is. But bust ups happen all the time, sod it, I fall out with work colleagues during the day sometimes and we have our tiff. It's just the perfect atmosphere to bring this to the fore right now. Tim Pearson ‏@TimPearsonMedia 15m Hearing reports of a training ground bust up between 3 senior figures at Southampton. Unconfirmed at the moment. #SaintsFC #SFC
  22. Osvaldo's not back is he? We need to be careful here, the situation is a breeding ground for all sorts of rumours like this. There are always bust ups in training, more often than you think, but in a situation like this it obviously has a magnifying glass put on it.
  23. Pretty crap article, based on a 1 line tweet.
