Why so brittle? He's played less than 10 games for us, and people are writing him off. It's stupid, and misguided. But it seems to be the modern-day way of thinking. I mean, we had threads saying that Rodriguez was a waste of money 4 weeks after we'd signed him last year, contributed to by the same people. It's just plain odd, do they want to make themselves look silly when he inevitably starts putting the ball in the net?

A pretty stunning coup for us to get him, really. He's a massive player. He will do frustrating things at times, as he's still only 21 remember! Easy to forget, as he plays with such power and maturity.

Alpine has probably posted more in the last 3 hours, than he has during our entire unbeaten streak.

Pretty rubbish 2nd half to be honest. Decent enough in the first half, apart from that practical joke or whatever it was. But we never got going in the 2nd half, pretty boring to be honest. No threat, Lambert had a nightmare. Awful. Jay got quieter as the game went on, and we missed the runs of Shaw and Clyne down the flanks, so we had no width for that 2nd half. Davis didn't have the impact that they wanted him to have, was anonymous. Didn't effect the game at all. Osvaldo struggled to get into it, but he got no service and was playing in front of a very narrow side. Overall, we'll have much better days. It was always going to be a hard match, but it's a shame we didn't make more of a match of it. Looks like we have a few casualties on the back of this too, so could well become a Saturday to forget.

It's just incredible. Crouch (the player the ref thinks was fouled) is actually passed Wes Brown, then wes brown decides to try and win the ball, not studs up. so he didn't' actually tackle anyone.

Wes Brown got a red card for not actually touching, fouling or hurting a player. Rubbish refereeing.
