    Other Games 21/22

I used to love that growing up in the 90s mate, always buy a copy of Gazzetta de la sport when over there sat outside a cafe just like Richardson. Fancy doing a game over there again now.

It is. What's our record like up there recently mate? We could do with a bit of luck like them going down to 9 men.

    Other Games 21/22

    We are.
  4. Yes can see that happening! Card won't scan mate, confused looking steward "you'll have to queue up and speak to the ticket office about that I'm afraid"
  5. Could Saints have done more to piss off their fans this summer? Sell best player to Aston Villa - tick Move loyal fans from their season ticket spot of 20 years to make way for premium padded £89 plus booking fee (haha 😀) - tick Fail to deliver season tickets that we paid for weeks ago, ask you to queue up for hours without an apology whilst blaming a 3rd party - tick I'm sure there's more I've missed. I remember under Pellegrino a couple of lads being banned for lobbing their season tickets at him after another home defeat, would be funny if that happens again tomorrow after queueing for so long to get the ticket.
  6. Stopped in Crewe on the way to Wigan in the FA Cup 2018, was good, saw them play Coventry so noisy away following , not much from Crewe other than one bloke behind me who spent all game singing "oh South Cheshire, is wonderful, oh South Cheshire is wonderful, it's full of tits, fanny and The Alex, oh South Cheshire is wonderful " , hope he's still there.
  7. Not like it's pouring with rain either , anyone queueing that long in this weather deserves to see a win tomorrow to reward them.
  8. I agree but I think as a fanbase we've become very apathetic, rather than demonstrations I sense people are more likely to just stop going, especially after a break of 18 months many are out of the habit. This is a screenshot of one of the blocks in the Chapel, one day to go and loads available, tickets have been on sale to anyone with a booking history last 7 years
  9. That idiot Lawro has us to lose 0-2, we'll concede more than that! "I would never normally be worried about Southampton facing a relegation fight, but things are not looking great for them right now after losing two such key players from their spine in striker Danny Ings and centre-half Jannik Vestergaard. Saints have to spend some of the money they got for them on strengthening their team - otherwise, it looks like it is going to be a tough season for them."
  10. Sad to read posts like this, reminds me of Whitey Grandad post about being told their seats for last 20 years are now premium "padded" ones costing £200 more like it or lump it, complete lack of respect for long standing customers. Ironically they are probably targeted with increasing revenue but reality is they might get a few casual fans in for big games but are losing goodwill with long standing loyal "customers" Hopefully everyone else receives tickets in the post today.
  11. For a laugh you should move and sit in one of the unsold £89 padded seats, get one over on them
  12. For me what stands out here is the lack of empathy or apology, chap I spoke seemed to think what's the big deal if season ticket doesn't arrive as they can print a one off ticket for you, not thinking that a) you've spent a fortune to purchase these and b) your time spent going down the ground to get a ticket will be a huge inconvenience, they just shrug their shoulders and get defensive "it's not our fault"

    Lyanco

Not the leadership and experience at the back we are desperate for.
  14. Cheers MLG , nice to know people can relax on Sunday.
  15. Out of 15 season ticket holders I know 1 has received, small sample but if that's repeated not looking good.
  16. For me it reflects on how the club is run from top to bottom, sloppy. In recent times there's been several examples, look at the sponsorship and replica shirt shambles, they are a premier league club that are run like a bunch of non-league amateurs
  17. Their attitude seems to be "what's the problem you should have it by end of week, if not we've said we'll issue you a ticket at the ticket office" as if that makes it OK, like you I know 3 separate fans who are away and were planning to pass on tickets so friends could go. Just not good enough really, does this Saints Voice fans group still exist? Need that classic pic of angry fans returning their season tickets 10 years ago.
  18. Fans seem to be an inconvenience for them. I was told if you don't receive they'll sort out a ticket to collect at the ticket office on the day, that's terrible service, imagine potentially thousands of fans having to do that pre match. Newport away - ticket details will "be announced later this week" , the game is next Wednesday! Leaving them hardly any time to post them.

    9-0 again?

Two of our next three away games are at Man City and Chelsea, some early candidates for this year's thrashing there.
  20. Quite sad when you realise virtually all of those unsold seats used to be season ticket holders, now moved elsewhere or given up, now replaced by empty seats or new generation corporate customer willing to pay £89 + booking fee. I don't think most Itchen premium centre blocks ever went on sale , blocks directly behind the dugouts still being used for subs to sit in? There's still plenty of corporate packages available as well, have you seen the prices of those? Crazy, we're not a London club.
  21. Will be interesting to see how Dean Smith gets on at Villa without him, from what I've read Terry was an influential character at Villa. Jody Morris was a key figure with Lampard on the coaching side of the game, that's what Ralph is missing some proper coaching support.
  22. Yeah I was joking, Saints v Burnley could be £1 and we'd still struggle to sell out.
  23. Yeah we've beaten them once 18 years ago, absolute bogey side for us it says something when we have a better record at Old Trafford than we do at St Mary's. They even had the honour of relegating us in 05. We've had a 0-0 as well under Puel but it's generally been a reoccurring tail of disappointment, hearing their away end drown out our support all game. During the dark days of lockdown I'd imagined the first proper full return to St Mary's would be buzzing, full house great atmosphere but it's going to be shit isn't it. An ex-colleague of mine living near Guildford asked me to help get tickets for him and his 11 year old son, apparently his kid has "really got into football during the euros and wants to see some of the star names", ground will be full of cretins like that trying to take pics of Shaw, Maguire and Sancho, obviously I said I couldn't help but tickets are on sale to anyone with a purchase history since 2014 it won't be hard to get tickets. No doubt the 9-0 from last season will be mentioned plenty of times in the build up.
  24. Can't argue with those category D prices, fantastic value for top quality English Premier league soccer action
