  1. Exactly, Dean goes beyond his duty like a back seat driver wanting to make every decision, he's frustrated stuck in a box watching the tele not getting any attention and wants to take control. The yellow card was not a clear and obvious error. Dean is a narcissist.
  2. Does he miss Leeds, Burnley and Chelsea?

Don't know why we bothered having him on the bench today, clearly not fit enough, keep him working on recovery and get withdrawn from the Scotland squad. Being away for two weeks international duty is no good for us.
  4. I agree, plus it has ruined the spontaneous crazy goal celebrations, I'd scrap it personally.
  5. Completely agree, we have no match winners who will create and take half chances, Burnley will know how to set up for a 0-0 or 0-1 down here, we've seen it before enough times. Ings saved us last year.
  6. I just can't see where our goals are going to come from, especially against teams who sit deep and defend against us. So obvious how lower sides will play against us, wait for the inevitable defensive error and hit us for a 1-0.
  7. I just can't see it myself, who are our match winners? Bielsa absolutely smashed us twice last year, can't see us beating Leeds. Burnley will be massive relegation six pointer
  8. No matter how good a player is, when the wind and rain is as strong as forecast it is bound to have an impact, everyone will get soaked on way into ground but lower tier doesn't get much protection from the elements, don't forget your waterproofs (good memories of the late 80s style fishing jackets on the open Milton Road terrace on a wet day)
  9. What's happened to Merrington?
  10. Details available now https://www.southamptonfc.com/matches/2021-22/efl-cup/chelsea-vs-saints-2021-10-26/ticket-info

No way he can be fit for Saturday though surely having been out for so long.
  12. Yes tickets will be £25, Chelsea publish prices for all competitions on their site. The league Cup is not like the FA Cup where teams can ask for larger (15%) allocations, league Cup is 3000 or 10% if lower, same as league games. Some clubs choose to give more. Hopefully Saints will confirm details today, we should be able to sell 3000 again I think, 4th round Cup game away in London is decent despite tough opponents. Watford away tickets have been on sale for a few days and I didn't notice Saints announce that anywhere

I should imagine once he's missed Chelsea away he will be able to withdraw from the squad, a couple of months out he will need time to get fit but something doesn't feel right about all this.
  14. I think we must work with the same PR agency as Marcus Rashford.
  15. Lukaku will have seen how Jiminez was able to power through our defence, he'll fancy a bit of that. Decent record against them recently so you never know. Livramento to get man of the match. First "easy" away trip for travelling fans, 3000 allocation, Saturday 3pm in London, decent.
  16. Final score lost 3-2 to cement our place as laughing stock bottom of the league. Terrible.
  17. Yes I think you're right, could be worth trying that at Chelsea. Livramento will be well up for that one.

I've heard a rumour that's he's refusing the play until Saints fans promise not to sing the Yaya / Kolo Toure song. Think there could be some truth in it.
  19. That was our gamble this season, Ings might have had a poor season anyway but we've traded in his goals and hoped Armstrong could step up. Big risk.
  20. Terrible experience all round really mate! Looked a good 4000 empty seats again, can see why people don't bother sometimes. Leeds at home in a few weeks on general sale will be loads of Leeds in home end. We played some decent stuff at times but look so toothless up front, a good forward line for the championship which is where we heading at this rate.
  21. I liked his reaction to the "fan zone" behind the Chapel, which to be fair does look like a prisoner of war camp.
  22. Yes it was definitely running before the West Ham game
  23. Did he say why Small was so unhappy at Everton? Suppose its a bit like Jankewitz with us, decided he wanted to go and the manager isn't exactly going to give him a chance. Hopefully he gets his match fitness over the next few weeks as his "pre season" , doubt we'll see him with the first team for a bit.
  24. Got to agree with you on this, there will be the box park banter throwing pints everywhere or the day at the cricket style who will sit and sip pints all game, both have a negative impact on the atmosphere I think. I'd certainly be less likely to make much noise if I'm sipping a beer or nipping down to the bar for another, rather keep the boozing for before and after. As regards to safe standing, we pretty much have it already, whole away end stands and Northam / Itchen North do, if stewards leave everyone alone it works well.
  25. For anyone heading to the game on Sunday Wolves have produced a handy guide that may be of use, Afghan food on St Mary's Street actually looks decent.
