I think you're right, but longer you go without a win it can be hard to come back from. After us they have Brentford at home another game they'd expect something from.

It seems like trains are a nightmare for every away game at the moment, I've done the route to Norwich via Cambridge/ Ely before and it's not too bad but the train from Cambridge was one of those 3 carriage rural services not exactly inter City. Liverpool is disrupted the week after trains out of Euston diverted due to engineering work. Even Watford away trains from Southampton diverted via Havant/ Guildford

I think he's looked much better and can see some confidence has returned scoring goals for club and Country, should have had one against Leeds if he'd got on the end of Brojas flick on. I know it's an inferior league but he had a couple of very good seasons at Celtic on loan , not a bad option for us to have in the squad.
-
He looks handy, I didn't see first 30 mins of the game but thought Palace looked good and should have won really, hard to predict who else will be in the relegation battle yet.

Certain Burnley players like Barnes and Vydra always seem to have the game of their lives against us. Wood main danger man with his height, don't know much about Cornet. They've only scored 5 goals in 8 games so most likely result has to be a 0-0.

I'd love it. The way the fans have treated Bruce and the way the new owners are acting it would be hilarious to see them relegated. Plus I hate the away end at St James' Park.

Agree Salisu looked a class act and continues to get better, but Leeds offered little going forward and he was nearly involved in the cock up gifting James a good chance. That said Salisu must have been involved in so many interceptions and he goes on some good runs with the ball. Hopefully we can get him on a longer contract as he'll be worth a fortune if he keeps this up.

Agree and I think Llorente (14) was already on a booking.

Might deserve a thread of its own but worth drawing attention to the prices for this fixture, CATEGORY D, it is £15 for adults in some parts of the ground (Inc block 43 of the Northam now open to home fans). Unbelievable price for top flight football in 2021, you pay that or more at some non league. I received a message that my kids can get a ticket for £1 as they are junior members and it is "Family Day" , anyone know what else they are putting on for family day? Burnley won't bring many fans down so at least this will help boost the attendance.

I agree with you from an attacking perspective we need pace to get behind Burnley, but you could argue Broja has that pace and defensively he might add some height to help defend set pieces he was also our only player against Leeds who looked capable of winning the ball in the air from a corner that we nearly scored from. We can't play him the following Tuesday at Chelsea so might as well play him Saturday.
-
Agree mate, looked comfortable but think we were helped by Leeds missing their best players, shows how reliant they are on them, but Saints were excellent as well, should have won by more really. Having a left footed left-back a big plus I think, makes a difference in attack, Broja gives us a threat in the air, should have done better from a couple of those first half corners. The game was practically sold out apart from some of the hospitality and Kingsland centre, combination of things I think, better being Saturday 3pm rather than Sunday lunchtime plus I am sure there were quite a few Southern based Leeds fans in the home end.

I'll have a hefty bet on Leeds ready to be placed at 2pm if that's correct
-
He never really looks like scoring either.

I'm confused as well, I had read this article below, but if Raphina should be in quarantine and turns up at our game I'll be sure to make a citizens arrest to prevent him getting on the pitch https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10089575/Premier-League-rivals-unite-fly-South-American-stars-home-international-break.html
-
Raphina is playing for Brazil at the moment started the game and has scored , surely travelling back on a 12 hour flight is too much to then play again tomorrow.
-
Phillips will play I think. Let's hope Raphina plays for Brazil tonight, crazy his game will finish at 3.30am Friday and they've laid on a private jet to get the Brazilian players back to England for the weekend, they'll probably land Friday evening and I'm sure they won't have to queue at passport control, so technically he could play against us on Saturday.

Just listened to it, "one day the women's game will be as big, if not bigger than the mens" Not sure what planet he's living on.
-
Clearly not fit, look how far back he is struggling to keep up.
-
Very unlikely Adams will be fit. S. Armstrong hasn't played for months, more likely will be on the bench.
-
Agree waste of time, should have withdrawn from the squad and focused on getting fit for the Leeds game.
-
Some of the tucked away pubs in Shirley are definitely worth a visit, Key & Anchor decent as well. I agree the town centre is missing some proper pub pubs. Oxford Street is good for a few drinks as well.
-
England definitely missed JWP. Southgate out.
-
He'd have no chance tonight up against Jan Bednarek anyway
-
Looks full of confidence again, hopefully will continue that when he returns. Did anyone see the England u21s game? Sounds like they struggled but Livramento played so hopefully he came through it with no issues.

I agree, I've lived and worked in worse places, makes me laugh I bet a lot of people think London is great but if you want to live there on a normal wage you've got to be prepared to live in an absolute crime ridden dump. A few of my colleagues visited recently for the boat show and were complimentary about what they saw, mainly new West Quay development, along the old city walls down to Town Quay, you've got the old Wool House and Yacht club at the end adding a bit of historical architecture for an old city that was bombed terribly in the war. I've lived in several places and what strikes me is people in Southampton lack a civic pride that exists elsewhere, far to quick to slag off their own city rather than do something themselves to improve it. There are plenty of rough areas in the city that have lacked investment and the walk to St Mary's shows some of those especially down St Mary's Street. But I know friends who visited to bring their daughter to a uni open day recently who loved it, strolling around Highfield/ Common, walking distance down to Bedford Place on a nice day , for a working industrial city its really not that bad.
