😍 beautiful, I'm sure Semmens will be printing that and waving it around the office as an achievement, we're back.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jun/04/tottenham-take-175m-bank-of-england-loan-to-ease-coronavirus-impact Remember Spurs had to get one of these emergency loans, why didn't Saints do that instead of our wonga style high interest rates?

Similar to what we did with Carillo? I'd love to know how much that lad cost us in total.

Safe standing: Saints’ big chance to create an ‘end’
JRM replied to Daft Kerplunk's topic in The Saints
It was fairly straightforward at the time, the Archers Road end moved to the Northam, lots of the lower east from the Dell move to Itchen North area. It was best fit to recreate what we had at The Dell. -
He didn't go off? but if he has a minor issue could drop out of England u21s to rest next couple of weeks.
-
Fair play he's started well and looks good, bonus scoring goals, shows some intelligence in his play, shame he'll now be away with Norway for a couple of weeks, Stuart Armstrong is expected to be back after that.

While the government and football clubs have procrastinated over making a decision football fans have generally got on and decided for themselves, most grounds now have some home areas where fans stand, and virtually all away followings stand all game. Still good news that the authorities at least recognise that many people don't want to sit down at football and should be able to choose.

We're going to struggle to contain them the way they attack, bloody ex-Saint Antonio will enjoy the space.
-
Pleased with the point but whilst we are wasteful in front of goal and sloppy at times at the back we're always going to struggle to win games , frustrating. Was always going to be a tough start with West Ham and Man City up next can't expect much, perhaps one point, when will the first league win come?
-
Thanks, useful insight 👍 I like Steve Bruce, always seems honest enough manager who gets a hard time, their fans seem to want him out so hopefully will work in our favour.
-
Sounds like a few more going than I thought but still plenty of tickets left should be fine
-
I'd have thought so, before they went off sale it looked like we'd only sold about 600 out of 1,722 allocation, there's plenty left on general sale in the home end as well so if you ask at the ticket office and they say no for away end just get one in the home end.

Can you summarise any interesting bits to save me 18 mins?

Felt a bit sorry for him, was behind his goal in the first half and he looked like he'd won a fans competition to get a game, obviously great to win and see a record result but I think Newport made some changes and never believed they could compete, or perhaps our early goal had that affect. Considering our first three league away games are not great for results / travel was nice to have this one and take a decent following.

Buzzing for this one, new ground to tick off, lower league Cup away day even better in a foreign country. I reckon we'll make at least 7 or 8 changes. Good omen, last season we drew Shrewsbury in FA Cup close to Welsh border, beat them with their manager missing due to covid and we ended up getting to Wembley, hopefully same again.
-
Tino will be away with the England squad if he keeps this up.
-
Yeah they basically hope buy some tat from the club shop, goes someway to buying one of the new shirts for those who want one. No excuse for such a mess outside the ground today, very very poor.
-
Ralph in again, fair play the players put a fantastic effort it, shame Armstrong couldn't finish those two golden chances
-
Question is place bet on United win now or hold off in case we start well and get better odds ?
-
Ralph out

If any United jump up to celebrate in the new padded seats I'll be looking to the old guard to steam into them, flasks at the ready...charge

Good to see local sporting heroes triumph, Southampton Brave winning thr mens Hundred they should get them to parade the trophy around St Mary's pre match today, brought back memories of David Gower lifting the NatWest cup in 1991.
-
Sampdoria were my favourites, Des Walker, David Platt, iconic stadium from Italia 90
-
I forgot to add it was off the back of one of the worst run of results in the clubs history

Can someone translate that for me? Matt Silvester, head of ticketing, membership and hospitality at Southampton, said: “The Secutix platform allows us to deliver a more bespoke customer platform that will ensure our fans enjoy the very best experience, from a transformational customer journey through to a more flexible account facility.
