How anyone can watch this video and believe a word is beyond me

    Coronavirus

Not sure if that's the best ethical argument to come up with! Anyway the BBC have had another crisis actor on pretending to be ill encouraging young people and Gareth Southgate has put a video out encouraging the young to just get a jab, so I'm sure they'll all be queueing up now 😉

    Coronavirus

    1) the fact the risk of taking some vaccines is greater than the risk of having covid for the u40s should be your starting point to question what's in these things. 2) a rushed vaccine with little or no research conducted into any long term health issues, why would you risk that if you were young with a perfectly good immune system to protect you. Remember to many younger people they've seen friends test positive with a mild cough, hardly a scary deadly plague that they'd hide away from .
  4. We should be, but clubs seem to be holding back, no details yet regarding Everton away, many fans i know have already booked travel arrangements to get the best deal so hopefully we'll get a proper allocation of tickets.
  5. I know deep down you take some pride in the net spend trophy, still possible this year if we can get some decent fees for Vest and Ings
  6. I've not been paying full attention, which players have we managed to get rid of so far this summer? Trying to work out transfer fees received / wages saved. Obviously still a few more to go hopefully especially Lemina and Elynoussi

    Dynel Simeu

Agree can't really count Walcott , he's not a new additional player in the squad

    Dynel Simeu

Jack Cork Romeu Bertrand Le Saux Monkou Osgood Definitely more good ones than bad
  9. Actually looks like Bilbao play Liverpool at Anfield the day after playing us at St Mary's, would have thought they'll keep their strongest team for that.
  10. Interesting with Arsenal dropping out of their tournament in Florida it does seem adding international travel adds another layer of complexity, hopefully Bilbao travel with no issues and we get the game on. Are they due to play any other clubs whilst in England?
  11. In your scenario you could still be sat next Sajid Javid, whilst a perfectly healthy person is shut out because they won't produce their health records.
  12. Freedom is just not worth the risk is it mate. Better wait a few more months.... Feel sorry for the youngsters I really do.

    Danny Ings

Surely the majority of players who have contracts expire are mainly due to clubs not wanting them, like Shane Long for example he'll be incentivised to attract attention if he wants a contract elsewhere, elite top players with contracts expiring who are wanted by other clubs is fairly rare.
  14. Spot on, the psychology around it is fascinating, some people really believe they would be inside some secure safe zone, mad really. Plus even vaccine producers admit there is no evidence to support long term side effects which is why they are protected from litigation. Lockdown - incentive / coercion to get the vaccine to allow "freedom" back. Remember initially just needed the most vulnerable jabbed. Open up but restrict freedoms to those jabbed, again coercion, get the jab or become a 2nd class citizen. Utterly bonkers when most young people have perfectly good immune systems to protect them and have virtually 100% survival rate.

    Danny Ings

Plus I doubt he'll have no idea who is interested in him, could well have a verbal agreement with a club as the season progresses that if fit they are ready to sign him as a free agent , especially from Christmas onwards.
  16. Don't think there's any suggestion you have to be double jabbed, that's being suggested from end of Sept which I completely disagree with but that's another topic altogether. I look out for Bilbao's results, decent club with Saints links plus they presented Le Tissier with a special award (one club legend) Tough game.

    Danny Ings

He is a quality player but will that quality be diluted by lack of commitment/ effort as he gets closer to being a free agent?
  18. Yeah and we've had some decent followings taking 1600 to Brentford a couple of years ago, i think Man Utd are taking 3000 to QPR this weekend, those who have missed away days will get it, others wont, I'd bet posters above like to potter around their bungalow and listen to Dave Merrington commentary and don't realise others actually have some fun going to games.
  19. Depends whether you're a match going fan who likes meeting up with mates on an away day I suppose.
  20. This is a load of shite really , Leicester showing us how it's done, some decent away days with proper full ticket allocations, we get behind closed doors and banned from Wales. https://tickets.lcfc.com/en-gb/categories/away tickets
  21. Richarlson being in the Brazil Olympic squad could be good for us, hopefully he won't be available first game of the season
  22. Out of interest what did you disagree with? Stop worrying about Covid, If we can't have freedom with the most vulnerable vaccinated then we truly are f*cked. Full stadiums this season still hopefully, I was at Wembley for the Germany game was wonderful being back in a proper crowd.
  23. https://www.spiked-online.com/2021/07/16/marcus-rashford-and-the-hysteria-about-racism/amp/?__twitter_impression=true Good article here on the subject.
  24. Is there any better meritocracy than football? The ultimate results based business, if you looked like a Martian with two heads but could score goals you'd be in, no one cares what you look like it's your ability that matters.
  25. https://unherd.com/2020/12/whos-behind-marcus-rashford/ Quite an interesting insight into how these agencies are using social justice campaigns to increase player profiles and PR image / influence, from a cynical perspective it's worked very well.
