Bit of a disappointing pre season so far, from Monday crowds are allowed back in full but all Saints have managed to announce so far is two friendlies in Wales both of which have banned away fans. Going to end up going to Yeovil to see the U23s at this rate.

1) it is the choice of someone apparently more interested in political squabbles 2) dribbling of a moron eh? Just using same logic as Jon Snow when he got upset at seeing so many white people in one place. Not what progressives like me want to see.

Got to laugh at the choice of user name here, good option for a football message board. By the way in response to Turkish post, I agree with the Economist, first thing I thought of watching Italy lift the trophy is where are all the people of colour Teams should be forced to have a quota to represent diversity.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
JRM replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Not sure I have any confidence in Saints investing the money to be honest. -
Got to wonder if his heart will be in it seeing out his contract , not wanting to be here or get injured. He's probably feeling bitter sat at home in his Pyjamas watching England thinking that should be him.
-
It's funny really as I think he's a good appointment but a mate of a mate who's Everton season ticket holder just seem to be relishing the opportunity to abuse him as much as possible, fickle I'm sure if he does well he'll soon be considered "one of them" , just needs to say Everton are the people's club in his first press conference and he'll be fine.

I can see Denmark getting to the final, "did it for Christian Eriksen" etc
-
Any further rumours on who we're playing in Pre season? Hopefully a couple of localish away games and home fixtures to gives fans who didn't get a chance to go last season an opportunity to get back to St Mary's.

It's a shame it didn't work out here but he was always up against it once the fans had sung his name to the baby shark tune.

It's very complicated, Chinese investment pulled from the Premier league around the same time as UK Govt pulled out of Huawei deal, lots of politics involved.
-
I agree, enjoy going there on holiday and have friends there, I've also been to Wales home and away with England and the rivalry isn't that big (even joined up in France 2016 to take on the Russians) Probably a bigger rivalry when it comes to Rugby.

There is a suggestion ownership of the club was to help Gao get in with the football mad leader in China , who knows. There's also the possibility he can sit on the ownership with putting money in or out and just let the value of the asset increase (bit like investing in property) but in this case he's timed it badly and if anything the value of the asset has decreased with no sign the TV deals are going to grow. The ESL is also a big risk to the value of other premier league clubs.
-
Yes to summarise, unless Gao is prepared to take a big loss and sell for a low price it's very unlikely we'll see a new owner in the next year or two.

Mings said himself in the post match interview that England "lacked intensity " without giving any reason why. Seemed to me the players just couldn't match Scotland's commitment and effort, no excuses for that. Pleased to see Adams receive so many compliments during the game, been great experience for him, just a shame he's not a better finisher. Certainly on the basis of that one game if you offered me the choice between Kane and Adams i know who I would pick.

"Lies and misinformation " Good lad, hurry along before you miss BBC news for your daily dose of propaganda.

Le Tiss did over 100 videos in one day yesterday, not a bad days work really , especially during lockdown last year or so when you can't go out much anyway
-
Let me tell you this, I've been to Goodison Park for Everton away about 20 or so times, whether we're on a good run, poor run, high in the league or in the relegation zone, play well or play badly it doesn't matter, the football Gods conspire to ensure we don't win there. It's one of those things you're going to have to one day accept. Especially if Benitez is soaking up the adulation of the Gladys st end in his first game in charge we'll oblige as comfortable opponents. We've won there twice in last 47 years
-
It's good to be a realist and expect one point from those games, obvious hope for more but you're less likely to be disappointed that way.
-
Have Everton appointed a new manager yet?
-
Yep, we never win at Everton , record at St Mary's at home to Man Utd and West Ham is woeful , definitely bottom 3 after first 5 games
-
They reckon the bloke who played Jay from inbetweeners made £300k doing those vids
-
Got a message from him for a mate who was in hospital, was well worth the £30 to put a smile on his face.
-
I've not seen any news or rumours for pre-season fixtures for the first team or B team, anyone heard any? players will be back in training in a couple of weeks.
-
Think you're right, I remember West Ham at home 1988 as well but that's about it in my living memory. I used to love fixture day, plan away trips book up trains, can't say I'm that bothered this year

Completely agree, plus when you see press conferences like today the chances of football being back to normal by August with a proper crowd and away end feels unlikely. Digital tickets with name checks is also putting people off.
