A bit before my time but good to see a "football" pub in town, know what you mean about the half and half scarves but I like the look of the old programmes on the wall, nice bit of nostalgia to chat about over a pint pre match. Hopefully get a chance to visit next season with crowds back to normal 👍

Spurs fans hate their own club and their frustration is going to multiply at the weekend when Arsenal finish above them despite being below them all season.
-
Agree , shame Flowers went to Blackburn (at the time a record fee for a keeper I think), surprised you left off Tommy Fourpast from your list though.
-
I can't get my head around what Palace are doing, current manager leaving, loads of players out of contract, apparently they are looking at picking up free transfers , seems a bit risky.
-
They've toppled some statues, pressurised universities into renaming some buildings and got some policeman to take a knee. ✊🏻✊🏿 No Justice No Peace.
-
Thanks, found it, channel 106 for me on Sky package. 10,000 West Ham fans allowed , they'll be in good spirits this time, usually protesting when we go there.
-
Have they said which TV channel this is going to be on?

That Five of the best article reminds me, trips to Upton Park were 1000 times better than the Athletics stadium, was there for all those 94, 98 and 02, always a popular away day.

Looking forward to the tournament, but hopefully not too many more Saints called up, we can then have a proper pre season this time. Bednarek, Adams and Armstrong will all be done by end of the group stage. Got a feeling Adams will score against England and become a Tartan Army legend.

This chap made a good point as well https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/nottingham-forest-striker-lyle-taylor-4872901

That year we beat Inter Milan, knocked out Liverpool in a semi final and finished top 8, every single one of that squad is a club legend.
-
At least we beat them in 79 semi final, this stat was for "Premier league era" , guess when you think they have been out of it for our best years it's not surprising they've beaten us more than any other team.
-
Is Noble retiring after this game? Or one more year? Antonio loves playing against us, should be in the England squad really based on what he offers but looks like his chance has passed there.
-
Didn't realise Leeds were such a bogey side for us, they've won more points against Saints in the Premier league than they have against any other club.
-
Let's be honest , if West Ham need the points on Sunday they'll get them, we're the perfect opponents, won't want to spoil their European qualification party. Now foreign holidays are permitted most of our team will be thinking of the beach.
-
I'm looking forward to tuning into Burnley game tomorrow, unless SKY dub it out there will be a very clear message sent by the fans 👍
-
Great to have fans back, but that photo going round on social media of ladies sat staring at their phones looking bored whilst the game was on is a poor reflection on our "support" I'll assume they were having a quick look on here to get some informed opinions on the match thread. Wait all that time to get to a game................. #AgainstModernFootball #SaintsFC #LUFC https://t.co/zEQiIEHqSw

McCarthy will have nightmares about the 1st one.
-
I think both with Saints and Redmond it's the frustration, as a team we played well and the more chances we blew in the first half you could feel we'd end up regretting it, Redmond gets in some good positions , picks up the ball but end product again just massively frustrating, wish he had a bit more confidence in himself. The game pretty much sums up the season, good first half, completing ran out of energy in the 2nd.

I've written to the club to ask them to play this before games instead of taking the knee, helps promote equality without the controversy https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DXmTV62mE1PA&ved=2ahUKEwjz2d6jwtPwAhXxQUEAHWoyAtIQwqsBegQIBBAG&usg=AOvVaw1FHIqasVglO5igbpgk1mz1

I can't see stewards asking anyone about masks to be honest, but if they did just keep a bottle of water or a half eaten twix in your pocket and tell them you're eating and drinking, works for me on the train.
-
Can't fault his enthusiasm , nice to have a player who wants to play for us and i think weve been a better side when he has played this season.
-
There seems to be little incentive for lower league clubs to develop talent, when a really good prospect arrives they can just be whisked off to a Cat A academy ?

✊🏿✊🏻 Solidarity. I hope you're not assuming Moussa doesn't know much English just because he's a young African, he's lived here for quite a while now. Some excellent unbiased training courses you can sign up for to cope with this issue.

I actually agree with you and was one of your likes 👍 Much preferred the days when football was an escape from all this nonsense, standing side by side with your fellow Saints fan unified in support of the team without interference of politics.
