    Tadic

£40 million for him is ridiculous and probably totally untrue. Have to say he is one of the most infuriating players I have ever watched play for us. Clearly has talent and you can't ignore the number of assists he's provided in his time here but his lack of killer instinct just leaves you thinking he could and should be doing so much more. That nailed on goal he missed against Stoke 2 seasons ago when all he had to do was smash it into an empty net from 3 yards but instead chose to try a drag back first and got tackled sums him up.
  2. Thought exactly the same. Had a chance to go at his man and shoot, totally bottled it.
  3. Agree, may just as well have gone for it. I suppose the rationale may be get the point here, 3 points against Bournemouth then a 6 pointer against Swansea could conceivably see us 2 points ahead of them with 2 games to go but frankly I'm bored of it all and any sort of strategy which involves us winning a game is fatally flawed. One last thing - WTF has happened to Romeu, ****ing awful.
  4. Well put. A 2 season long perpetual cluster**** born of the club's belief in it's own bull$hit that we are the blueprint for how a club of our size should be run.
  5. It's do-able but we won't do it.
  6. Christ on a bike, just checked the website and blocks with "limited availability" are generally approx 50% empty. So availability not really all that limited then.
  7. No, and I also can't believe we had Carrillo lined up (and actually did sign the ****) for circa £19m.
  8. We've had a fantastic few years TBF. Totally gutted that it may be/is coming to an end when it really, really shouldn't be.
  9. Don't get me wrong I fully expect us to go down now, but I just have this feeling we can turn it around. It all depends on this Leicester game. If we were to somehow squeak a win there we would be looking at a home match against Bournemouth to potentially be ONE point behind Huddersfield with them having City and Chelsea away and Arsenal at home left.
  10. Point of order Norm, we went 2-0 up after half time. Agree with the sentiments though.
  11. Despite being an eternal pessimist I still think we may claw our way out of this. It quite often happens that a team who look totally ****ed at this stage claw their way out of it. Poopeylol did it, Fulham did it, Oldham had a nine point deficit with 3 games to go and still feckin stayed up on goal difference. We have to beat Leicester and if we don't it is over. If we can play as we have for most of the last 2 games against weaker opposition we should pick up points. 7 may just be enough. I do admit that like a scarecrow attempting to have a **** I am clutching at straws here.
  12. He did do well, but ffs, don't be laughing on the pitch after that. Just confirms that ultimately he ain't that bothered.
  13. We were excellent to the extent I foolishly thought we'd win when we went 2 0. Then we just crumbled, disintegrated in fact as soon as Giroud came on. Last time we got relegated from the Prem it was the 2-3 against Villa after being 2 0 up that felt like it was definitely a relegation season, this feels the same.
  14. Watford. And we ****ed that up as well.
  15. I ****ing hate Giroud.
  16. Please god you are right. This team and club needs a ****ing dose of positivity.
  17. Not looked lacking in confidence to me. Almost scored against Burnley too but for a superb save by Pope.
  18. Add to that list we failed to get in another CB (or even try to) leaving ourselves woefully exposed full stop and even more woefully exposed should our best remaining centre back get injured. Which he did. Then again HTF were we supposed to be wary of such a scenario, it's not like it happened twelve months previously or anything. Oh..... For good measure add the abject failure to get some painfully, desperately needed attacking pace in the team. If we failed to get Promes which of course we did, where was the fecking back up plan. Where were all the black box options? I wonder if it offered up that Kenedy fella who went to Newcastle. Carry on up the boardroom.
  19. Yes. He did it alright under Koeman. I'd be more confident in a back 5 the same as today but with Bertrand moved inside as part of a 3 and Mcqueen in at LB and no Stephens at all.
  20. It's not a case of scapegoating. It is just obvious that he isn't a competent centre back at this level. I still think he could make it as a midfielder. (Also I'm not sure that we have any competent centre backs at this level).
  21. Mcguire did the same thing yesterday after being pulled back by Gayle and only got a yellow. MOTD pundits were praising the ref for common sense in not sending him off.
  22. Agree but the nub of the problem is we've left it too ****ing long. FAR too ****ing long. We haven't got time to wait to "start winning games very soon" we need to win them NOW. Anyone with a 5th of a brain and zero footballing knowledge could've seen that Pellegrino wasn't up to it months ago. Yet instead of making the painfully obvious change we decide to give him January and the opportunity to buy the most pointless anti-footballer I have ever seen in Carillo like it was the only thing missing in his masterplan and it would all come good.
  23. Thought the same when he came off, can only conclude he was knackered due to lack of game time. If we want to go 3 at the back now stick Bertrand in there, he's done it before successfully and put McQueen in at LB.
