  1. Working on the premise that no-one is going pay close to his current wages and take him on permanently let alone actually pay a fee for him as well, a loan deal would be the only realistic option. If so I'd be interested to know what our minimum terms were. It would arguably be better to let him go for nothing in the hope that he actually played well ,got his confidence back up and established some resale value. As it is he just sits there without the opportunity to do any of that. Regardless, what an expensive mess this is and that 1 year extension which was perplexing at the time now looks utterly utterly mental.
  2. Will Hughes plays for Watford.
  3. A depressing and accurate appraisal of where we are. Jesus, the good times seem so brief now they’re gone.
  4. Personally I’d have hopped, skipped AND danced for more points. Forward roll, Arab spring whatever it takes.
  5. Possibly, but if we’re apportioning blame for errors leading to goals Cedric and Vest are way ahead of McCarthy.
  6. Wise wordz indeed Charlie. Pal.
  7. Not certain anyone is “hitting the panic button” but 7 wins from the last 41 including today’s effort where victory number 8 looked very likely until - bizarrely - the second we took the lead has a few (very much including me) a tad frustrated.
  8. But Gab wasn’t even on the bench. Another bad decision.
  9. Me too. At that point there was not even the slightest sign that Leicester would win. They were **** and we were good. Yet it all flipped round virtually from the second we scored. I remember feeling the same when we went 2 nil up against Chelsea last season.
  10. It was. Very. We were losing momentum and beginning to be overrun (yet again) in midfield. Lobbing big Charlie On was a worrying attempted solution which didn’t work. Agree though that there is f’all that Hughes can do about Hoj deciding to act the ****.
  11. It’s going to be a long long season of struggling. We just don’t seem to be able to snap out of the malaise that’s set in over the last 2 seasons. It’s a familiar pattern that sooner rather later ends in relegation (Villa, Sunderland, Swansea). We needed some positivity and opening home fixtures against moderate opposition in Burnley and Leicester offered the chance to create it but we’ve blown it.
  12. Just f u c k o f f. It’s like us scoring was the trigger for Leicester to start playing and for everything to fall apart. Jesus Christ 2 home games against weaker teams and 1 poxy point to show for it. Just ****ing ****, new manager same ****ing ****.
  13. Utter facepalmery there from Hojbjerg. What a ****.
  14. Leicester really don’t look very good. We need to win our home matches against not very good sides.
  15. Any streams pals?
  16. That is wincingly poor form it has to be said.
  17. Ok so you obviously thought he had a great game then.
  18. Decent post Mike, your first in almost a decade of membership! Don’t leave the next one so long.
  19. Well yeah, but Hughes picks him.
  20. Hands up anyone who thought we would get anything out of that game when our cb pairing was revealed? So obviously inadequate for the level we are trying to compete in. Yoshida and Vestergaard have to be our go to starting cb’s.
  21. Boy Azooga (dreadful name tbf) "1, 2, Kung Fu"
  22. TBH mate if it was the usual lukewarm Carlsberg **** ("Probably the best lager in the world" LOL) they did you a favour.
  23. Exactly as expected really. We are ok and should survive but we won't be ripping the league up.
  24. Have to say Austin came out of that with less credit than anyone else except possibly Hoedt. Ings and Gabb both looked far more mobile and likely to make something happen.
  25. Indeed. "Sorry Fraser, you're too small and we're going to have to move you on"
