The goal was a defensive cluster**** but for Forster to be beyond criticism for his part in it then it has to be acceptable for a keeper to stand and watch a cross into the six yard box and make no attempt to cut it out, and then make no attempt to save the resultant free header. It isn't.

Agreed. Does anyone seriously think this **** will get better results from a more difficult 2nd half of the season? A worse set of results will almost certainly see us going down. I am actually very close to thinking that if we don't sack him we will definitely go down.

I didn't, but I'm starting to change my mind. If we don't get rid of this **** it will look like an inevitability within the next 10 matches. We've already left it later than we should have done and whoever comes in will be facing an uphill struggle even if we do it now.

Well perhaps he'd just come back to clear out his locker and stayed to watch the game for old time's sake. I think the poster who said he's left is definitely right. They wouldn't bother announcing such a trivial event on the official website or anything would they?

Chelsea did today TBF. Generally agree though.

No real complaints with that result away against one of the best teams in the league. Some observations however: Forster is incompetent for this level. He actually did quite well today, pulled off some decent saves, but this is meaningless when his inability to get down to free kicks/long shots that are routinely savable for a decent goalkeeper cost us goals. It is well and truely out there, all other teams know it and try to exploit it (usually succeeding) and this means he simply is not fit for purpose. 2. Redmond - No footballing intelligence whatsoever. Cuts inside and lays it off when he should drive towards goal. Drives towards goal when he should cut inside and lay it off.
