The dithering over sacking CP doesn't indicate a proactively run club that knows what/who it wants. Either sack him straight away or back him. If it's true we offered him the chance to stay if he agreed to play a more attacking game I'd be interested to know where our negotiations were with potential replacements were at that point.
-
Agree, it isn't THAT bad. It is however more of a challenge than our first 10 games and we're all well aware how well that's gone so far.
-
I just don't get it - surely in the interviews it must have been all about wanting someone to be different to Puel, more attacking. We even gave him the opportunity to stay if he agreed to be more attacking FFS. Yet we've ended up with someone who's teams play the same feckin way except for being even less attacking.
-
Not just Long, all of 'em.
-
Pleased with a point in the end and even more pleased with the fact we actually scored and went for it a bit in the 2nd half. Boufal deserves a lot of credit today, he's slightly built and things aren't quite clicking for him but he really battled out there and look like he cared. Nathan Redmond however...........................................
-
We just look utterly clueless in the final third. Everything is hopeful rather than purposeful.
-
Agreed but Tadic isn't far behind and neither is Redmond so far this season. 3 players demonstrably crap at shooting supporting Long who is, for a striker, demonstrably crap at scoring. If this is what we get today then it beggars belief.
-
To be clear I was joking, should've put a winky smiler on it. I wanted him out too, but the idea that anyone on here could "lead the charge to hound poor Puel out" is fairly ridiculous.
-
Agree completely. The whole package just feels like its lapsed into an uninspiring malaise, like everyone's decided that this tedious one up front shyte is THE way and we cannot deviate from it no matter what, regardless of whether it actually works or entertains.
-
Come on Whitey you were in there right at the head of the vanguard and you know it!!
-
This formation seems screamingly obvious with the players now at our disposal.
-
Pelle could be crap or Pelle could be excellent. At the moment all our strikers - possibly/probably because of the way the whole team is set up to play so conservatively thereby creating f'all chances for them - can be crap or they can be crap. We'll never know for sure but my bet is that Pelle would probably be crap in this team, possibly less so than the current strikers because, due to his size, at least he would stand a chance of getting on the end of the crosses we pump hopefully into the box to conclude our ponderous attacks. Change the system, create more chances and our strikers will start looking a lot better.

This is true, including Specific Ocean squid.
-
Like that. Damp squid another beauty, and "Low sense of gravity" as uttered by Danny Murphy on Talksport a while back in a debate about why Eden Hazard is such a good footballer.
-
Your write but you could of been wrong.
-
Ahh the old mute/moot classic. Right up there with specific/Pacific.
-
Yeah but I said we've been utterly ****ing tedious bar a few notable exceptions and that isn't true because we played well in like about 10 matches which is more than a few and anyway we haven't been boring.
-
You can argue about semantics and how many matches equals "a few" but the fact that in general we have played ****ing boring football since the start of last season is not "pony". Anyone suggesting there has not been a clear and significant drop in entertainment levels since the start of last season in comparison with the previous four seasons would, by contrast, be talking sh!t.
-
It has to be said that we have been anything but entertaining since the start of last season (with a few notable exceptions). Just utterly feckin tedious.
-
The thing is with very few exceptions we've been serving this caĉk up for the whole of last season and all of this one so far. Week after week the same cr@p, sideways/backwards slow tedious cr@p never stretching teams, never getting in their faces, creating **** all chances and missing the vast majority of the few we do create. We sack Puel after allegedly giving him the chance to stay if he changes style and gets us attacking more, then appoint a man who - on the evidence so far - plays an even less attacking game with the same formation and ineffective attackers. WTF basically.

Tried it, she was too pretty for me.
