For "back up" read "last resort".

Both of their games rely (relied) heavily on pace. Torres lost his years ago due to injury, Walcott less clear cut but has been seriously injured, can't get back in Arsenal's team and would be a major gamble. We need players with genuine pace not players who used to have it but definitely or probably don't anymore.
-
Wouldn't be noticed as much possibly but would definitely still be noticed. His current level of cr@pness would would not go unnoticed even if his mistakes didn't keep costing us points.

Where do you go to get tradesman you can trust?

Haha genuinely funny that. -
"Available for immediate start"

Agree completely except it's more a case of careering head first into a relegation battle eyes wide open.
-
Have you ever left a match before the final whistle though?.........
-
I actually agree with this except for the last sentence which is utter pony. Leaving a football match before the end - the ****ing SHAME of it!!!
-
Respect that people can see things differently but I certainly did not see a formation in which Boufal - or anyone else for that matter - played pretty much off the striker. I saw a frustrated and isolated front man just as I've seen for most games last season and all games this. I would have preferred a formation with 2 genuine attackers and I would not start Tadic at all for at least a couple of games, he's been ****ing awful all season.
-
For me this totally misses the point. We were the better side and ,no, we didn't deserve to lose if you view the match purely in terms of what happened on the pitch. But we were at home against BURNLEY and we played the same old 1 up front unadventurous crap. If we aren't prepared to go balls out for a win at home against Burnley who are we prepared to do that against? IT'S S.H.I.T.
-
So that's Van Dyke, Bertrand, Redmond (LOL), Tadic (LOL) all out then. You are probably right, get rid of that lot and the manager and replace sensibly and we will probably improve.
-
That's exactly what I was wondering. Is it Emery VFTT?
-
Hmmm problem with that is he didn't want to come to us.
-
All it takes is an effort on target and even slightly either side of him and he's done. Seriously, a competent goalkeeper catches Murray's effort last week comfortably, a good keeper saves Vokes' one today. Redmond would have broken his goal drought today if he'd been playing against Forster. He's good at close range Smeichel-esque throw your massive frame at the ball saves but that's it.
-
I'd welcome him. At least he engenders some ****ing passion and togetherness in his teams AND he's never been relegated. This **** Pelligrino is right on course to take us down.
-
Exactly. I wanted Puel out and I want Pelligrino out for the same reason. If we appoint a third **** in a row whose teams perform like those 2 I'll want him out as well. We really can't afford another one though.
-
I tend to agree with this. Reed has to carry the can for appointing a manager who plays even more boring, conservative, and outright shyte football than the man who was sacked for playing boring, conservative football.
-
He has to go. You can just see how clueless he is when the camera pans on to him. Looks totally lost and his selections, formations, substitutions and playing style prove that he is.
-
I've officially had enough now. I want that **** Pellegrino sacked and Forster dropped, preferably on a permanent basis.
-
Long enters the fray.
-
This league is becoming ****ing boring to be honest. Far too many teams just sitting back and trying not to lose. The way to break that cr@p down is pace spirit and maximum effort. We don't have enough of any of those elements.
-
So basically "we would like to be more creative/attacking but we can't because our manager wants us to play boring, safety first, play not to lose rather than play to win football". Happy days!!!
-
Boufal didn't do that much of note but, as others have said, he did win the free kick that lead to the goal and also set up a very presentable chance for Tadic which Tadic - inevitably - missed.
-
It's time for Tadic to be sent on his merry way. He's gone from being good in his first season to frustrating in the next couple, to crap this. Time to move on for him and us.
