  1. Not a chance in hell, sadly.
  2. The reason is that the football has been consistently tedious, uninspiring, and lacking in any sort of attacking nous or flair for half a season now (with a handful of exceptions).
  3. Hands up who thought we were going to be able to break them down after they went in front. Jesus Christ we look so slow, boring and pedestrian. Not even the slightest hint of us pulling them out of shape and troubling them.
  4. This is a sensible post and of course things have been worse, much worse. Comments like the ones you quote are obviously OTT and would be better left unsaid in all honesty but we have played quite a lot of painfully boring football this season, under our new manager (yes we have played well at times, yesterday particularly) and for people to voice their frustrations and concerns about it is as understandable and reasonable a reaction as your suck it up and move onto the next one approach. If everyone did that there would literally be no posts on the reaction thread after a defeat except "Oh well, could be worse, onto the next one" which, let's face it, would be a bit tedious. Football causes emotional highs and lows which are at their most acute during the actual matches and some of the negative stuff is a reflection of the lows just as the "GTFI!!!" stuff reflects the highs. Agree if anyone only ever posts negatively then that's ridiculous. We are still a work in progress under Puel, clearly there is the possibility of performances like yesterday becoming more regular and if they do it will be difficult for anyone (well, almost anyone!) to find negatives, but if the soporific possession over goals stuff continues then so will, justifiably, the complaints.
  5. Excellent performance today especially in the 2nd half. Davis did superbly but JRod has to be MOTM, thought he looked lost (if isolated) first half but you could see the confidence flooding back as soon as he scored the first, all culminating in that brilliant 2nd. Well done fella, keep it up!
  6. Hobson's choice right now I'm afraid. AND HE SCORES!!!!!! (just as I was about to post hopefully a goal will get him going!) GTFI!!!
  7. Neither am I, he looks lost to me sadly. He is isolated to be fair but he just doesn't look up to it.
  8. Redmond simply is never going to be a striker.
  9. Lowest scorers in the division now as well after Boro's win yesterday. Long and/or JRod have got to step it up and do what they are paid to do, starting today.

    Jay Rod

True, such bad misses. If they'd gone in the confidence would return but missing them will just damage his it further. Hopefully, he'll put a more difficult chance away soon (against Bournemouth would be good) and he'll be away.
  11. Whilst we had to help them rip it, Palace did sort of rip us one a couple of weeks ago.
  12. The overriding theme of this season is that we are just incredibly boring to watch. I almost feel ripped off watching a free stream.
  13. Can't believe he missed that, the 2nd open goal from a foot away from the goal line he's missed in 2 games.
  14. Jesus Christ j rod.
  15. Poor old Cuco seems to be copping the boos even though it was nothing to do with him!
  16. Facepalm
  17. Define your idea of cheeky in this context please Alpine.
  18. Good goal but it definitely papered over the cracks
  19. Someone with the ability to mask our deficiencies and disguise our shortcomings.
  20. A long, crack-papering post.
  21. Yeah but that just papered over the cracks.

    Injury Watch

Surviving without him will only be papering over the cracks anyway. Lets hope we have enough paper.
  23. Stop trying to paper over the cracks.
  24. Guild of Master Craftsmen LOL
  25. J Rod needs a goal to get going again. Austin's injury gives him the chance. His performance today provided hope he will take it.
