  1. Identifying players and signing them is not the sole responsibility of the manager. I’m not impressed by the team selections and forward line ups, but he can only pick what’s available to him. Same with Ralph. Agree. Recruitment has been poor in that area (for several seasons now) but that’s not something the manager takes the rap for (in my book anyway).
  2. Without doubt Edozie loses out by this. A loan would have been ideal for his development. But no doubt he - and his agent - think he/they know best
  3. Sorry, had missed this point. Agree with you on that point.
  4. Are we expecting to see anything of them again at Saints ? Bragg was rated last season I recall but many of our loanees end up being eased out on further loans ( Simeu springs to mind)
  5. I’m not sure, if as I said above, can’t this be justified on looking for drugs ? Not that they’d expect that of our generation Whitey of course.
  6. If he wants to be like Pep then the easiest way to achieve it is simple, shave his head. Hasn’t done Enzo’s career any harm. We simply don’t have the resources to copy him successfully on the pitch.
  7. Is the excuse that they’re looking for drugs ? If so, they should invest in some dogs, probably a lot more personable than some of the meatheads employed in gate searches and security. I had no issue at Newcastle.
  8. If I’m reading it correctly, Saints looked to change the terms of the agreement with a loan fee (or increasing it after a move was agreed). Net result the same though
  9. Please spare us that one. On another day at Newcastle we wouldn’t have gifted them a goal. On another day at Brentford…. Isn’t there a theme developing here ?
  10. More significantly though Brentford weren’t making suicidal mistakes at the back, and had people who could score goals. No fucking ‘system’ or ‘philosophy’ is able to routinely cope with the first, and the absence of the second . Although the longer you dwell on the ball in and around your own penalty area the greater the risk ( which doesn’t seem to factor into RM’s thinking)
  11. Yes, Stewart has gone from comparisons with the Loch Ness Monster to being closer to Shergar
  12. Sounds like it's Archer the Father, Archer the son, and Archer the holy spirit then. As for the Tall One, I suspect he's not allowed to play because he's shit. I think we may have lost sight of that. But in fairness he is a different style of shit to the rest, and for that reason worth a go from time to time (in my book).
  13. Certainly GK wise.
  14. Best bar none, if he doesn't spend too long in the treatment room. Or does that only apply to forwards ?
  15. Being greedy but where's the CF ???
  16. Hope so.
  17. Yes, seems an excellent signing. Credit where it's due.
  18. FUCK !!!! Can only mean one thing - Terry Hurlock is coming out of retirement.
  19. Sweeepstake: Club seeking Hagrid outfits for unveiling Dispute over contract stating which characters from children's novels/films he's allowed to dress as a)around the training ground b) on matchdays Raw chicken Other scandal awaiting to hit press making club nervous Late bid from Ipswich
  20. Thought it was fairly easy "to be out of favour at West Ham".
  21. Hope so
  22. Bastard of a journey midweek. Wycombe away would be a decent away fixture (for a ground I’ve not been to before),
  23. Really ? Pathetic and shameful if true. Another ridiculous advantage to those with the biggest squads. Part of the excitement of any cup is when some of the big guns go out and the draw opens up for smaller clubs in lower divisions.
  24. Hope RM’s joy at this lasts longer than Ralph’s did re Gakpo. The noises and indications are good, but always fear the possibility of a Wolves counter offer. Believe it and celebrate when it’s announced.
  25. Glad we’re not Ipswich. Tonight anyway
