I don't disagree that our faliure to score has been a major factor in not maintaining momentum for the last three months, but our defence has conceded two per game since FF was injured, and has cost us points.
-
Has that been suggested anywhere or is that just your own hope ?
-
Bit alarming that there hasn't been anyone willing to take him perhaps.
-
Hope Chelsea make this into an auction.
-
No, lickierambert is correct, it was a 4-1 win at home that season. it was our third goal, a good team goal involving some neat passing - from memory - and a cross from Hammond.
-
Hoping its: Norwich (although won't be too concerned if it were Brentford) Swindon Plymouth.

Releasing a playeer after relegation is not just a sign that he's not deemed good enough at that level. Often the main factor is £££, and whether its affordable to keep them on the books. I thought Chaplow was on loan at Ipswich anyway.
-
Given his contract situation I dount it will be near £20m, probably nearer £15m from one article. Perhaps we can hope for a Chelsea/Man U bidding war.

One of the "names" when I started following football in the late 60's although probably past his best by then. He wasn't a bad pundit either for a few years, before he became a parody of himself, but still a lot better than some of the halfwits ITV give us now. Hope he pulls through.

Don't think we have any idea if Djuricic is up to it, but probably a good time to find out. Reed is certainly worth a start, although I'd still have VW in there, can he paly so badly two weeks in a row ?
-
I go along with this, he's not irreplaceable, and if his heart isn't in it then he can bugger off. Unfortunately though we don't have a track record of getting the replacements in early, if we did then ideally I'd like Byram or Trippier signed up by the end of May to report back with the rest, but the liklihood is their agents will want them to wait for that bid from Liverpool or whatever that they can sort whilst the player is on holiday. Expect another summer of angst.

Amber and black. Yellow and blue was a 1970's variation on it , and fashion that we adopted (following Everton, Chelsea, Man U, etc having all worn it in the preceeding couple of seasons).

They probably have delusions of CL football, and will be able to sell that to a player, especially being a club in the capital, young progressive manager and all that. As you say, I'd accept MS's desire to play in the Champions League, and hope he finds it with either Chelsea or Arsenal. I think he will have sold himself short if joining Spurs, but it is a little blinkered to think they could not make it attractive for him, and MP may indeed be part of it. Hope he doesn't go there, as I detest them more than the skates.
-
Bias aside, it probably isn't a sideways move though is it ? Who do you think have the more realistic prospects of a top four finish us, or them ? Reed should just issue a Lowe type announcement .."we're not doing business with North London yobbos".
-
Agree, it's been done to death, and worn by just about every team at some stage where needed as an away kit (just add that to stop some pedant telling us neither Norwich or Watford have used it as an away kit),and it has become a yawn. That said, I have liked some of the variations, such as the L1 navy with yellow top section, but yellow shirts, blue shorts - no thanks.
-
Hope he's a better "prospect" than our last signing from Molde who was also linked with a move to Merseyside for some time before jumped in ahead of them and 'snapped him up'.
-
Think you should change that to: Andy Murray is the only thing to happen to Scottish sport in many a decade.... (curling aside of course). Agreed.Tried to warm to him after the Olympics etc, but can't take to the miserable c^nt.
-
He'll be hovering again won't he ? Telling the media what a 'triffic job Eddie has done, and how he (Redknapp) will go and watch them play, 'cos they're his local team....a fantastic team to watch, and a "proper football club" (where have we heard that before? ), and offfering any 'experience he can ' (if they want to make use of his 30 plus years experience, top clubs, blah blah..) in any way he can...
-
only if he wants to be here.
-
Not sure Elia has done enough to warrant being retained, and doubt he'd want to be a squad player, wasn't that the reason for him being ****ed off at his last club ? Gaston ? How many more "last chances" does he need ? If we can recoup something on him this summer then I expect we'll want to take the cash.
-
Misread that on skim reading it as: Blimey, that's a tad unexpected but well deserved. Shane Long is in there too

Tremendous achievement by him, and it must embawass Woy over his selections recently. Just goes to prove what an astute signing this was, proving many of the doubters (myself included) wrong. Sell Shaw for £27m, replace him with a player for c£10m, tremendous bit of business.
