  1. Colin Kazim -Richards ?
  2. Probably from me and young badger cursing about the game.... even the dog knows how bad it was to lose at home to Palace in the FA Cup.
  3. All in all a f'kin thoroughly miserable day. Inept performances, gifting Palace acres, if not the Freedom of Southampton, to roam at will too often.Taking the lead twice, I thought we'd get a grip of the game and control it.But no, just ballsed it up. I've been inclined to give the GK the benefit of the doubt in the face of some of the critiscim on here in the past, but he contributed to our downfall in style today. The first one, Fraser Forecast should have held, and for the third, I can't imagine an average player like Chaw^nkmah or whatever his name is, just waltzing around Shilton nor Niemi with such ease. At £10m this is the standard of keeper he should be aspiring to. That said he was not alone in blame for that, Elia was dozing to needlessly allow them to take possession, and it should have been cleared before the final ball. Tadic was pretty anonymous for much of the match, Elia as well for much of the first half. JWP's shooting.... Christ on a bike, how can he deliver a good dead ball from time to time but constantly ballooon it from the edge of the box. Defence often all at sea. Then Longs injury. A34 closed on the way back up to Newbury as well.
  4. In my book we've needed an extra striker since August. Pelle is largely out on his own, and we need a greater goalm threat up front as we all know Longs record is preety poor. We need a striker who can make adifference, and actually score goals. Not easy to find and not cheap.
  5. Unless of course the prospective purchaser meets some of the folowing criteria: Desperate In need of a boost to enhance their league position etc Have a plague of injuries to contend with. Any team spring to mind ? Actually, I doubt we'll be trying to sign him in January, but stranger moves have materialised before.
  6. he deserves a better club than Millwall.
  7. Would not have made the front cover under Cortese's watch...
  8. Didn't realise we had so many members of the Temperance Society following us.
  9. Fonte will mark him out of the game. Interesting. (But as KelvinsRightGlove says - he'll probably be on loan to them).
  10. Can't see him & Austin hitting it off, as both would want to be top dog. Another potential training ground bust up for'arry to cope with.
  11. In a Range Rover after dark, and their offices are closed.....without his current club knowing anything about it. Couldn't happen again could it ?
  12. Depends where he ends up, I thought Norwich would have been a good fit for him, but they've opted for an unheard of Scots bloke. Wigan ? Could be good there, or at Forest, Sheff Weds I wouldn't bet against it, but if he ends up at the Doncasters of this world then no, like many 'promising' managers he'll fall back into the mid-stream, and wonder what might have been.

    Yellow Shirt

I can only recall that yellow shirt being worn once, away to Arsenal (perhaps like yesaterdays). Strange as at the same time we had that awful blue ('radical blue flame effct' I think it was called) effort, so I'm sure the yellow would have outsold it.
  14. Just realised this was two years ago today. His sacking still rankles with me. But from a Saints angle pleased the way things have turned out with Ronald Koeman (and without NC at the helm). Wish NA good luck in finding a decent club again, and hope he makes it back to the Premiership in the future.
  15. Lambert epitomises our rise and was the talisman for it really, so he is the outstanding choice. Agree that Jose Fonte deserves recognition for his part in our rise and his continuing role. But Nigel Adkins deserves the second spot behind Lambert for his part in our resurgence.
  16. How long is the current deal for though ? Presumably more than a single season, in which case Veho/Muvi it is next season and until expiry of the deal.
  17. I think he's scored a couple for England though, so he is capable.
  18. clutter
  19. obey
  20. Unbelievably naive, if not stupid, oversight not to get a better back up gk if we don't do it. Imagine having to rely on KD or PG for a 5/6 game run , with a cup final place , and CL contention at stake.
  21. c'mon you puce lemons... certainly has a ring to it.

  23. I doubt RK will have seen enough of Gallagher to make a judgement to be honest. For me the stand out requirements are a GK , and a striker who can score goals. Another defender would be useful, but I'd rather this was a target we want for next season rather than a temporary infill.
  24. Are the skates still running a nearly 2000 page thread ridiculing how far we have fallen ? Bet they're laughing their heads off now.... WTFILN?
  25. Inclined to agree, but an alternative thought might be to leave him out to protect him from another needless booking. Better still sign up a deputy, either permanently or on loan.
