  1. Wasn't Tadic only wanting to leave due a dispute with RK though ?
  2. Strange but given his conduct last season and sulking about not moving from WBA my initial thought on Berahino is that he's a pack of trouble best avoided. But after Mane's departure I think he might be a half decent option, get his head sorted and a good season out of him we'd probably double our money next summer. As that seems the business model it'd probably be worth trying for him.
  3. Showing your age David. Forsyth was in the 1960's. He was a jock as well.
  4. Danish article taken from a German paper: http://www.bold.dk/fodbold/nyheder/kicker-hoejbjerg-skifter-til-southampton/ or just Chinese whispers perhaps ? Talks of 110 million, presumably Danish krone !! (which would be the £12m suggested above).
  5. Inevitable Google search, brought this article up: http://www.dw.com/en/bayern-munich-midfielder-pierre-emile-hojbjerg-confirms-club-exit/a-19279446 So looks like he's seeking somewhere to develop. Presumably before rejoining the Big Club circus. Trouble is I thought we were after a big unit to replace VW does he fit the bill ?
  6. Earlier in the summer we were linked with some Swiss bloke, Zakaria. Only 19 but made their Euro squad although didn't play.
  7. I thought it was his agent who was trying to 'sell him' to Cardiff, although probably a negotiating tactic to enhance a deal at Saints. Anyway, will be rooting (or wooting even) for Fonte and Cedric tonight.
  8. The obvious back up for Austin then. If true, then that does look thin on the ground for first choice and cover. Not sure Austin or Rodriguez can be relied on with their records.
  9. No, its alright the pied (afoot) wasn't lost on me.
  10. Christ, 5M Euros for him,and £2m or so for Nagy .What are we waiting for ?
  11. His agents blabbing this to the press, but the player's told him to pipe down. He must be the Pied Piper.
  12. Agreed. Wonder if we are weighing up the Nagy, Kapustka possibilities. Either would be an impressive signing and at their age an investment for a couple of seasons, as we seem to like. Lewis Cook at Leeds is another we should have been looking at closely. But like Byram last year will probably not be at the races for him.
  13. Strange that you like the Championship shirt which was predominatly white, as in shoulder area and sleeves, but prefer the red 'yoke'. For me the 2016/7 shirt is another r/w stripe shirt with a bit of a twist on it, nothing more or less. Not delighted by it, but better than I feared we might end up with, and an improvement on last season's, and the Cortese all red abominations. Pleased that the back is striped. On the bra debate, prefer the white option as a red one would have appeared almost a red shirt with red sleeves and just a few white stripes on it. Awat kit is drab and dreadful; black with a bit of bacofoil for contast.
  14. Haven't we been linked with Bakayoko before?
  15. Nationality though (Morrocan) would be overlooking Hassan Kachloul.
  16. Glad to see Everton didn't forget to mention the dug-outs
  17. I think you might forgive a missed penalty, possibly even a poorly taken one, but the posturing and gesturing beforehand .. and then missing it, no. Made himself look a 'show pony' without being able to deliver.
  18. Home kit - doesn't look that great, but could have been a lot worse. Will probably grow on me, but just hope it is stripes on the back as well. Away - poor colour combination. Black & yellow - fine, but grey ?
  19. So, does this confirm the manager has the final say on all incomings ? No doubt we'll see a change of emphasis from Holland to France in the next few weeks.
  20. Not the last one I'm sure, but I recall Souness storming onto the pitch after the match at Reading in the FA Cup. He may even have been ordered off the pitch. Pretty sure he was hauled before the FA for it. Jan 96. Last visit to Elm Park.
  21. How the hell did you just stumble across that site ?

    Euro 2016

Galling thing is how our players, and managers simply expect to be at the top table, time after time. Yet time after time our team simply doesn't turn up. The krauts went away after was it 2002 , or a poor Euros/WC and put a strategy in place to build from. Result was WC winners 2014. The bunch of C^nts who run our game have done what in the last twenty years, given us Liileshall or whatever. Net result ? Winners of **** all.
  23. Ridiculous to dither on this, by the time Puel has assessed our other options the lad will have probably signed elsewhere. I read similar after his name was linked with us a few days ago. Marseille, Saints and Leicester mentioned. He has a low buy out clause, so for less than £2m the option of a full international shouln't take too much thinking about. Even if he's only in our Europa League squad this season.
