  1. Just seen the Atletico Bilbao red and white stripe version for 2015-16.
  2. Come on, its not his own mother tongue, and probably his second language. So for that reason I doubt many on here have grounds to mock. That interview is no worse than some players who are meant to speak English. For example, he doesn't lapse into the "yeh, definitely.."mode to every question as Puncheon used to, and I gather Clyne did on his arrival at Anfield.
  3. Should have gone for Freddy Adu as well when we had the chance. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33536657 Shame we've really missed out on that protege , but then again so have his 13 previous clubs.
  4. Gordon Watson. Frozen out at Saints, by Souness I think, to go to Bradford where he suffered a leg injury to virtually finish his career.
  5. Perhaps Toby was just a stand in for that position after all then.
  6. Thanks, and best wishes for Feyenoord next season too.
  7. With Clasie now signed up, we can move onto the next one - hopefully VVD.
  8. Good signing, and excellent to bring him in at that fee.
  9. Nice shirt. Hideous tattoos.
  10. Having googled Mario Suarez I found this about a "mystery club" being in for him: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/452208/Arsenal-Transfer-News-Liverpool-Man-City-Mario-Suarez-Mata-Round-Up-Rumour-Gossip-Latest
  11. Yes - think we missed out on our destroyer target when Imbula went to Porto.
  12. Yes, there's a bit of everything... bar a proven goalscorer. I don't doubt our build up play will be great to watch, but fear we may still lack a cutting edge.
  13. So were Alan Ball, and Xavi. But Classie is 1" taller than Paul Scholes. Providing we don't become a team of midgets I'm not too worried about it as far as Classie is concerned, he'll bring a lot to the team.
  14. I don't see anything wrong in bringing a player in who might develop (or 'work in progress' as you describe it), providing the development is for our benefit. So, I'd be happy with Van Beek or Byram as players to develop if signed permanently, as Clyne was three years ago.
  15. Nice to see a trip almost to Mongolia is still a possibility. BTW, some excellent research and work Marsdinho, to be applauded by all forum users.
  16. I agree about the emphasis on Barcelona but if this does not appear likely to be availavble in 2017 then I suspect he might extend to 2018 as there is always a major managerial shuffle after the World Cup. You never know people might even be clamouring for him to weplace Woy, if he lasts that long (not that I expect RK to be interested in the job).
  17. Actually, its quite good to see that photograph of our owner chatting to a key player. If he does go to Man U I don't suppose the Glazers will tell him apart from a member of the groundstaff. Would be good if Morgan and others reflected on this, but of course they won't.
  18. He's the Curacaon (?) Paul Telfer perhaps. Or possibly the new Guly as a fans 'favourite' if he lives down to some fans expectations of him.
  19. Van Dijk is the obvious candidate. Unfortunately though Saints seldom sign the obvious one and will probably pluck someone from a team we've barely heard of (although probably not as obscure as Cuco Martina ).

    Max Gradel

..or Jonno Quick even #4 - no, its an opinion shared by most on here
  21. I'm surprised an agent would be happy for his player to become embroiled in this sort of mess, knowing the complications that may arise from future transfers as these deals are never straightforward.
  22. Just seen this : http://metro.co.uk/2015/06/28/morgan-schneiderlin-followed-on-twitter-by-manchester-united-club-photographer-5270335/
