  1. A sentiment first seen on here, afternoon of 18th January 2013 to be honest, albeit one expressed by a few in anger.
  2. really ? Didn't build the Chelsea side that won the Champions League, this is conveniently overlooked.
  3. If true, then the only surprise is that Cortese would jeopardise our league status with an interim appointment after we had appeared to start moving up the table. Surely a safer option - no matter how bad the working relationship - was to maintain a steady ship until the end of the season.
  4. This is rich, coming after you posted this on another thread:
  5. P!SS POOR. Two abysmal goals to give away.We had the opportunity to strengthen in January, but rather than sign the dominating defender we need, the club spend their time conspiring to sack a promising and successful manager, and chasing shadows in the transfer market. As for Forren, does he exist ? Oh "injured". We know how to sign them don't we ? Nice one Cortese.
  6. I raised a qusestion over how long MP would last, the day NA was axed. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?42506-How-long-will-Pochettino-last-here-then My comments then were : I will be surprised if MP is here next season, not that I want Di Matteo.
  7. Agree, that is a decision that will haunt us,possibly as early as next season. But never mind, we are destined for European football, as amply demonstrated today.
  8. To the tune of ? Not that I'm condoning such singing of course.

Yes, but look how quickly Simon Clifford returned to the big time. That if anything totally vindicates His Rupertship and His vision.
  10. Perhaps it is the Delgado factor. New manager did not sign him. The previous manager did not sign him either. But he looked good on video. Hope I am wrong of course.

    Forgive ??

I hope he makes a recovery. I'm sure he means something to someone;perhaps he begat another generation of thoroughly detestable curly headed scouse f^ckers in blue le coq sportif hafnia shirts. Don't easily forgive the c^nt for Blackburn 1977 or being part of Everton 1984 though. Oh, good to hear Andy Gray has gone 'Cliff Richard' on us and is leading prayer for the day.

    Cody Cropper

More importantly, best alliteration as a GK since Kasey Keller. Who by coincidence was also a Yank. Small world.
  14. Isn't Targett meant to be the more attack minded of the two ? In which case he might be the LM option. As for where will Lallana go ? On the right perhaps.
  15. Has Matt Targett (or Taggart) signed as yet ? another rated youngster, who I read was a left sided player,( a month younger than Shaw but described as his "successor" ?)
  16. John Mortimore. Assistant to both Ted & Lawrie during their best seasons. Unlucky not to be manager of Saints in his own right. Had Lawrie declared his intentions to leave before he did after 1985, the I suspect Mortimore might have got the nod.
  17. Oh, and throwing the names of either Tommy Forecast , and Ali Diah into an otherwise serious thread are well worth a chuckle to lighten the mood.
  18. Any debate on the goalkeeping position, and who the best candidate is, must include reference to Tommy Forecast. And Dexter Blackstock.
  19. An identification by earlobe, or a strategically/carelessly misplaced millionaires yacht clearly mean a takeover is immininent. And months of speculation follow.
  20. And some Eastern European migrants to offer a car cleaning sevice for a £1 whilst paying the car parking charges at St Mary's.
  21. We once had a manager called Atkins. Despite two promotions and guiding the team away from the bottom three after a wretched start to the season, we have learnt two weeks after he left that he was not as good as we thought, training was stale and players were no longer motivted ( despite coming back from 2-0 down at Chelsea). Then a previously unknown bloke from Argentina is rebranded Mo Po , or something silly, and he's a world beater who can take us to the next level (whatever that is). And we can live happily ever after.
  22. What cut of horsemeat is it making it into the foodchain though ? Is it a lean cut of thoroughbred, or is it donkey dobber ? I think we should be told.
  23. Championship Manager or another computer game is the bestest index to judge a players worth before signing.
  24. Len Fairclough MK II
  25. Thought he often played right back for us.
