  1. I too think Wigan will go down. Hope I'm wrong as I'd rather it was Villa.
  2. He came from a farming background in Argentina, so perhaps he an Argentinian Ian Holloway at heart.
  3. And another thing, its not just MP's fashion sense we have to worry about, but look at the other lazy f^cker ,with the initials JP, sat there doing a crossword.
  4. They were very close to dropping to Division 3 at one point, might even have been 81/82 season, but shortly after that Ken Bates bought them. They then built a new team, including Kerry Dixon from Reading (who scored twice against Exeter in this press cutting). Also, noticed one of the Stoke scorers was Alan Biley !
  5. I was at the Saints vStoke game. 3-0 up at halftime, 3-3, the Whitlock scores a header from a corner late on. Saints forever having the ability to throw away a lead.
  6. Stockport, Luton, Darlington, Mansfield, Chester might disagree.
  7. Probably more like a daytrip,or two, to be honest before we are out of the Europa Cup. As someone who attended in'76, may I also add what a bloody stupid question the OP has posed.
  8. 12 yellow cards in 27 appearances. The 'new David Prutton' ; does he do a good 'clapping' at the end of every match as well ?
  9. No thanks, Dave Merrington will struggle too much with his name, which sounds like a train station in North Wales.
  10. Hay !! someone has already used that joke.
  11. Agree with both of above comments. But would still like a return to the KK era kit, if not conventional stripes. The Portland Timbers kit looks the favourite option to date. Out of interest does this have a contrast panel on the reverse as well, or is it a plain back ?
  12. Something his wife will nag him about though when she sees it on television.
  13. Wonder what the mane charge will be ?
  14. Bet you thought Biffa Bacon in Viz was entirely fictional ?
  15. Anyone else found this to be an obstacle course to navigate, and a pain in the ar$e in its failure to recognise previously installed items ie printers, usb memory sticks etc ? If so, how did you get round the problem ?
  16. Les Kellet (Kallet). Short bloke, but two foot wide. My Dad pointed out that he might in fact be Francis Lee out of disguise. Thought this odd, until I realised Saturday wrestling on World of Sport was filmed from the midweek before.
  17. Wasn't the commentator a bit of a "Kent" ?
  18. Gets my vote also.
  19. I remember the days when we were linked with signing Le Fondre (£350,000 eventually) rather than Rodriguez, England U21 for £6m. Le Fondre probably remembers those days as well. So, no reason to be bitter, other than losing.
  20. Totally agree. I remain of the view that the backbone of the squad should remain English/British to maintain the 'team spirit' etc with exceptional talent brought in from EU & elsewhere, rather than a collection of mercenaries. (no doubt this will spark the usual outcry). I do however expect to this to change though, with several Spanish, South American players joining in the summer.
  21. But the press have now 'discovered' Rodriguez, and he has been linked with Liverpool.
  22. Linked in January. He certainly sounds ideal, age, height, future etc.A major drawback though seems to be - if this is the same player - that he is jointly owned by Bologna and another Italian club, which as we saw with Ramirez tends to complicate the issue.
  23. Rather it be Villa, or West Ham tbh.
  24. Fred Gee's slimmer brother.
  25. Think he needs a quiet word about the choice of colour scheme here.
