I thought he meant they were sharing a goal by scoring half of one each. I'll have to ask him to expand on the theory after the game.

Some Moroccan or Algerian bloke in about 2003/4 , championed as a next big thing, Abuchu-minestrone or something, whilst Lowe was in charge. Never heard of again. Also from that neck of the woods, Mido , or was he Ahmed Hossem at the time ?We probably missed a good player, but managed to avoid a few tantrums and sulks along the way. Think there were a couple of Latvians who slipped the net as well, one who kept Pahars out of their national team for a while, but did not go on to set European football alight. Gorkks, of course was the must have CB at the start of last season. And finally, from the golden age of Lowe, didn't we spend an entire summer in pursuit of Darius Vassel ?

Just updated your post for you.

Sad news indeed Especially poignant hearing it on Cup Final day, to remind us of Peter's legendary status amongst Saints folk heroes. Can only wish him a get well soon.
-
Yes, 'Saints are coming ' by the Skids will be much better next year.
-
Pleased with the result, and more pleased that it actually meant something to Wigan by winning it. All too often you see an indifference amongst the big clubs on winning the FA Cup.
-
Agree , but rather the sash than the all red departure from our history we've had this season.
-
And another thing , I heard only a passing reference to the Bradford fire today, despite the 11th May being the date of the tragedy. Had Liverpool been in the final of course we'd have had relentless reminders, pre-match vigils etc, etc.
-
Ridiculous thing is though, that the media moguls have convinced the buffoons at the FA that this is the sort of sh1t the public want or need.
-
I think he was the bloke on loan to Blackpool last season, who scored with the Bilkowski blunder.
-
So, if we sign him, and Joan Verdu from Espanyol, shall we get Marian out of retirement as well ? Will end any debate over what tune to run out to - 'Boy named Sue'. Nicola might have something to say on this though.
-
Just the FA & ITV falsely believing that we need some "celebs" to lead us in the event to make it more spectacular. Sh!t isn't it ?
-
Agreed. 3pm should have been non-negotiable. Prefer it were on BBC. The draw should be on a Monday lunchtime as well, rather than ITV making it a 'feature' to run on the lines of a reality tv vote ,with a couple of 'has beens' or B-rate celebs making the draw to 'Impress' us all. Surprised they don't rebrand it as 'Football's got talent' or 'FA Cup Factor' or such sh!t. It stopped when the game accepted the big ££ - in 2010 - when the Premier League insisted they should be the ultimate attraction of the season, and the Cup final was shoed in between routine fixtures. And of course its lost a bit of appeal as live games are regularly seen on the box now.

Name reminds me of something out of a children's story, or biblical character , but can't place it.

In no particular order: Skates - 1984 Brighton -cup - c1986, good p!ss up, and good humour , never forget one Saints fan 'strutting' into an empty terrace between the sets of fans ,miming to Sinatra's 'New York, New York,' as it bellowed out C^nting Blueshirted Hafnia shirts (semi-final 84) - day spoilt by the last minute of extra time Orient - FA Cup c1985 , again a mighty p!ss up with 15 or so of us in a transit van, no luxury just essentials of food and beer

Just seen that Adidas have a sash design in the range this year, with Wolfsburg. Could of course also be available with a red sash, but probably falls within the criticism often seen on here "looks too much like a training top".
-
First I've seen of that. Unless you are talking of Astori, but that was less than the £14m quoted for Ramirez, no idea who the target was. Any names ?
-
That is also my understanding of events, and you can throw Rhys Williams in to the CB targets list as well. Reading between the lines, I recall NA discounting Yoshida at one point, so I suspect Nuytink (or whatever his name is) was our first option, but he selected Anderlecht, leaving Yoshida as our back up choice, (especially after Williams injury).

Be interesting to see the 2013/14 Ajax home shirt when released (away shirt featured above), doubt that will be buggered up by the V you refer to above, so a simple reversal of their kit will do nicely I hope. Although I doubt it will be anything as smart or conventional.
-
Perhaps, and hope I'm wrong, the club expect Clyne to want to move back to London. More likely its strength in depth, and Clyne gives cover at LB as well. Alternatively as someone else refers to above MP is seeking a change in formation, with wing backs and this Jesus fellow is a more accustomed to it, or can play right sided centre back, or sweeper ?
-
Same with us.
-
This is the same Rupert that made David Moyes an offer with terms he could refuse, and appointed Stuart Gray instead, rather than agreeing for Moyes to bring his backroom team with him.
-
5M Euros according to that article.
-
Complete urban myth to be honest.
-
This signing is nailed on apparently.
