  1. No point dwelling on the penalty, it was saved so did not cost us. What bothers me is our inept finishing, according to BBC, 15 shots,7 on target.
  2. The late penalty save makes it a point gained. But in trutyh this is two points dropped in the quest for European football. C^ntese will not be happy. Sort it out quickly MP , or you'll be on your bike.
  3. The Boruc you see now is a lot leaner than the porker that signed for us in October. He was not, or did not appear fit at that stage. My critiscism is that he was put in to a game too soon, ie West Ham away, whereas Leeds in the Cup might have been a more sensible option. My main critiscism is that the GK position should have been sorted in the summer(as with CB).
  4. but would be a major loss in midfield if we move him back, especially with Davis injured.
  5. I thought he was meant to have performed well there v Stoke away.
  6. New central defence needed last summer tbh.
  7. Newcastle at home disproves your theory. Need a new excuse. At what stage of the game will Hooiveld score an OG today ? Sweepstake perhaps, I'll go for 57 minutes.
  8. Kiss of death !
  9. Go on then mock up the reverese red/white combination - you know you really want to.
  10. That's not bad, much improved on the current abortion anyway. I remember a few years ago though, someone on here posted that red sleeves = relegation.
  11. Wonder how many managers KD will work under in the duration of his new contract. Oh well done KD !
  12. No. Exactly. I think I'd rather have the £6m Lambert who took the penalty at Viila Park for us in the team, than the highly rated buffoon you named here, who on the same afternoon managed to spoon everything over the bar.
  13. Wayne Thomas might have stopped that little f^cker Remy in his tracks on the way to their first goal on Saturday, make no mistake.
  14. And we miss Hammond's drive and captaincy in midfield...
  15. or "mutual consent" them...
  16. A sentiment first seen on here, afternoon of 18th January 2013 to be honest, albeit one expressed by a few in anger.
  17. really ? Didn't build the Chelsea side that won the Champions League, this is conveniently overlooked.
  18. If true, then the only surprise is that Cortese would jeopardise our league status with an interim appointment after we had appeared to start moving up the table. Surely a safer option - no matter how bad the working relationship - was to maintain a steady ship until the end of the season.
  19. This is rich, coming after you posted this on another thread:
  20. P!SS POOR. Two abysmal goals to give away.We had the opportunity to strengthen in January, but rather than sign the dominating defender we need, the club spend their time conspiring to sack a promising and successful manager, and chasing shadows in the transfer market. As for Forren, does he exist ? Oh "injured". We know how to sign them don't we ? Nice one Cortese.
  21. I raised a qusestion over how long MP would last, the day NA was axed. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?42506-How-long-will-Pochettino-last-here-then My comments then were : I will be surprised if MP is here next season, not that I want Di Matteo.
  22. Agree, that is a decision that will haunt us,possibly as early as next season. But never mind, we are destined for European football, as amply demonstrated today.
  23. To the tune of ? Not that I'm condoning such singing of course.

    Merrington

Yes, but look how quickly Simon Clifford returned to the big time. That if anything totally vindicates His Rupertship and His vision.
  25. Perhaps it is the Delgado factor. New manager did not sign him. The previous manager did not sign him either. But he looked good on video. Hope I am wrong of course.
