Agree with some of your points, but not that one. Rosenior is another possession freak without any achievement at Hull despite a good team (especially on loan) at his disposal.
-
I thought Wilcox was recruited by someone he’d previously worked with at City. Don’t see what Utd could have been tipped off about, Wilcox was clearly known to them.

Providing they don’t insist on a plain white back.

Have to wonder if something like that will even register with the club nowadays. They’re not fans and don’t have any longstanding affinity with it. The DanishPyjamas from last season were at Hummels initiative, and it was written on here that the sash in 2010 was from a discussion Fitzhugh Fella had with Oldknow after Liebherr bought the club.

So who is Sam Stanton, Head of Scouting Operations, and where does he fit in with Darren Mowbray etc? The club seem to like giving grand titles, just a shame that the collective outcome from them has largely been poor.

Two on the opening fixture at St Mary’s !! Last ones I saw streaking at a Saints game.

The entire playing side is a bit of an afterthought and possibly irrelevance to SR judging their conduct.

Agree with CSA96 above, brown stripes should feature on the kit.
-
We were linked with Levski Sofia, who were the opponents at the match. The ones who ballsed up were Arda Kardzhali.

Just goes to prove that being a 'Steve' and being shite are not mutually exclusive. Wood is joined by Baker in that particular intersection on a Venn diagram. Do I get an MLG point for that ?

Probably as good a place to drop this in as anywhere, but saw an article linking us with another possible replacement option. https://www.givemesport.com/southampton-to-appoint-one-of-the-best-british-coaches-replace-juric/ Probably not a reliable source. Thought Rosenior was another possession freak. It’s a big ‘fuck off’ from me.

I wonder if the Sports Republic mismanagement team could match this for buffoonery : https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/clydxyv94k8o

Will probably depend who the manager is.

Throw in some bizarre substitutions as well yesterday, taking off our most capable player at HT. Jack Stephens caused me to scratch my head at the time, but on reflection can be less effective than Archer ?
-
I'd like to describe yesterday's performance as shocking. Except that it wasn't, it's exactly what we've come to expect, pathetic and all over the place in defence, and pitiful up front offering little threat against poor opposition who with the right line up were there for the taking. Plus yesterday we had the extra feature of Ramsdale doing a 'bazunu' impression for their first goal.

This is not unheard of. In the 1970’s Alex Stepney took a couple of penalties for Man Utd and at one point was their joint top scorer. He was replaced on duties when they signed Jim McCalliog. McCalliog scored a penalty against us at The Dell in a 1-1 relegation scrap after Easter 1974. He signed for us the next season. Stepney played against us in 1976. No penalty shoot outs then so didn’t have to worry about him taking one.

Not sure that is harsh on Rideout as I think he was - in his time with us - regarded as a bit of a workhorse and a supporting role. Mind you that was in a front four with Wallace, Shearer, and MLT. At the time many thought he lacked the goals, although certainly worked well with the other three and was skilful.

Thanks for posting the link to this. A good listen. Didn’t learn too much. Not surprisingly both skirted some of the key questions, although the way he navigated round the question of Rohl leaves you thinking there is something in it. At least he didn’t make lavish commitments over Juric etc.

THB has looked up, to the task during shoot outs I thought.
-
Perhaps that makes him a terrible manager in itself.
-
Think it was the lawyer, a KC, acting for Reform he said told him that (which is even more surprising that they might have said it, or that he revealed them saying it.)
-
Short back and sides ? Didn't see it.
-
Which begs the obvious question ...
