  1. Paul Hart must have been at Palace for two weeks now so perhaps he is due to change and join another lost cause.
  2. Surely they can't be more embarrasing than One Vision,as song which is not Saints related in any way.Apart from being a poor choice over a decade ago. The Albion Band used be heard regularly at The Dell as well, perhaps we could find one of their recordings instead.
  3. She will obviously be highlighted as one of David Cameron's achievers , how she overcame a significant social disadvantage - ie from a family of skates - to become a Tory MP.Good luck to her.

  6. All three tickets arrived yesterday morning, although lower price bracket than requested. But good seats anyway so no complaints. Apologies if asked before but without trawling through entire thread does anyone know the following: Requested at £44,but received £34 tickets. No issues on that, but cheque enclosed for higher amount does anyone know what system in place to reimburse balance ?
  7. Agree but very few versions of it can build up the crowd's anticipation. Agree that out of the three versions mentioned,"Saints are coming" isthe most relevant and fitting, but it should be The Skids. I never understood the selection of One Vision at The Dell.It had bugger all to do with us but just fitted a trend at the time to adopt some half baked pop song. Many clubs played "Simply the Best" around that era which was equally tiresome. I think One Vision was introduced with Dave Jones/Rupert's era c1997 so hardly 15 years. It was a dreadful choice at the time and I don't think because we made a poor selection once,it should be repeated now purely out of (misguided) nostalgia. Have often thought we need an upbeat "Bells of St Mary's". If we need something new then perhaps The Flying Alexanders could be commisioned to make TBoSM.

  9. Perhaps he chose this particular fixture to see if/how Southampton can "afford to live in the same street as Leeds United" and if our fans have got used to it. This was probably the second most memorable Branfoot statement from his time with us,after the prediction about Speedie and Dixon scoring more goals than Alan Shearer

  19. I thought Flybe's decision to cease sponsorship at the end of the existing deal was revealed at some stage during last season. It was said they were dissatisfied with various issues including not being told when the club went into administration. In my view the decision pre-dates Cortese's involvement with the club and it is mischievous to try and pin this on him. As for sponsors,my preference might be Dell Computers. If we must have a name emblazoned accross our shirts 'Dell' at least appears Saints related.
  20. Didn't there used to be a police tv series by this name ?
