Peter Reid for Manager - campaign needed..
Badger replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
But only Lawrie made this statement about it.We will never know how NP would have fared at SFC this season;probably better than Rupert's Dutch indulgence I'm sure, but possibly average none the less. As for Peter Reid,no f^cking way.I've detested that grey haired c^nt since his playing days (tacky blue le coq sportif Hafnia shirts,Highbury 1984). -
Pretty 'artful' working that reference in Pancake.
-
Don't think I'd be able to slip in under the radar and security of Fortress Withington.I shall however keep a close watch on Waitrose in Cheltenham as there has been a previous sighting there.
-
Ball for A team. Case for B team.
-
They were indeed. For me Bally was a far better player, and captain. As you have also seen both,I respect your view to differ. But I think we would agree that either would be a Godsend for us now.
-
Is he/she likely to sneeze out of either one ?
-
Do you not think Walkers should have included at least one of these flavours in their new crisp range ?
-
For much the same reason Channon gave up the captaincy as he could not get closely involved without it affecting his game. It then passed to Peter Rodrigues, who is now seen as an iconic figure.
-
From what you have seen since the eighties I respect your view Bexy.Case was the best captain since Ball.Svennson might have been a good option in modern times, injury aside.Suggestions of CMFG or more laughably Benali though are ludicrous. Captain these days ?It might as well be Captain Birdseye.

Don't doubt what you post, but what b0ll0cks! We are not Milwall or Leeds. No one is likely to go armed with a view to 'razoring' Lowe or Wilde for Christ sake. Saints fans are fairly meek in their approach to all this.It is almost "well,we are not paricularly happy so we might have a protest, meet in the town, walk to the ground together and shout a few slogans...with a Police presence of course,if thats alright with you Mr Lowe..".

Captain of the Titanic - via a seance - "Thanks Rupert,at last I'm no longer the most hated man in the history of Southampton".
-
Hypothetical I know, but if Alan had been around then I feel he would have been the man to come back again and replace Burley last season.
-
Only if you did not see Bally.
-
Alan Ball. For all the plaudits Lawrie receives for how well we did -after 1976 - and he is our best ever manager according to many posters,'Bally' was the inspiration on the field and in the dressing room. Only Jimmy Case has had somewhere near the respect from his team that Ball had.Paine,Channon and MLT were great players who happened to be team captain;Ball lead the team and drove them on.

Any reject strikers from Dorchester or Maidenhead Utd available ?
-
Sorry, but I'm lost as to what Clifford's link to this is.Do we play a game against his Guiseley* Samba XI from time to time ? *or wherever it is in Yorkshire Perhaps we should have a behind the scenes friendly against Barnstonthwaite as a real test.

How much is the extra cost to be breastfed ?
-
Yes,its the OS promoting Wotte "by association".Ask Hiddink about Wotte, that might be a more illuminating reference. Rather like Lawrie trying to publiscise the brilliance of appointing Pearson on the back of a vague (name dropping) reference to Sir Anal Ferguson who rated Pearson highly.A reference and endorsement never seen or heard of elsewhere.

Things the commentators have NOT said about Saints this season
Badger replied to Big Ron fan's topic in The Saints
"Only Rupert Lowe had the foresight to appoint Sir Clive Woodward as a football manager, and now the premiership beckons...". -
BO!!OCKS. What evidence of managerial potential ? Thats two f^ck ups,out of two, skates and Wycombe.I would not wish to see him at St Marys.
-
Ditto. How we need someone in the Ted Bates mould again now.
-
They don't make them like they used to, Ron Davies story.
Badger replied to derry's topic in The Saints
I'm too young - even though I'm now well into my forties, and a miserable bast^rd in my own right- to remember, but I am aware how Big Ron,And John McGrath would happily stand shoulder to shoulder with my Dad and Grandfather getting seriously p!ssed in a lock-in in the 60's. Now of course players would only want to be in exclusive clubs, not drinking with the masses. -
Did you lift that from a Spurs site ?
