  1. You made a right cock of yourself last time you tried to argue for PR, so I’d give it a rest if I was you….
  2. Fuck off does it. Playing and putting a shift in shows he cares, writing a load of pony just shows he’s media savvy….
  3. When safe standing comes in, they should put it in the chapel and then enforce seating everywhere else.
  4. He’s been fucking pony all season, Bournemouth away was about his only decent game. Writes a heartfelt apology and you’re lapping it up.
  5. Not against Forest he didn’t. Played like he couldn’t give a shite. Writes a humble apology and people are lapping it up. He can fuck off with the rest of them as far as I’m concerned.
  6. This is why I’m confident that they will continue to invest and get us back into the big time. The next explosion is going to be The Premier league broadcasting it’s own content, followed by clubs streaming their own games. The money they’ll make will be eye watering, far in excess of what we’re seeing now.
  7. Can you put threads on ignore?
  8. Not only was the football horrendous, but the trains were probably the worst I can remember. Crystal Palace a particular low, I felt like John Candy in Trains, Planes & automobiles trying to reach Sellhurst by kick off time. Train strike yesterday & relegation a perfect fit which summed up the season, and we’ve more train nonsense next week on route to Brighton. That said, I’m already stating to look forward to next season and come Aug I’ll be full of confidence that the people who stopped going will miss a great season when we finally win the championship.
  9. I had the misfortune to hear Blackmore interviewing KWP on way home yesterday. He’s still sucking off Ralph. “Oh one person who’ll be hurting tonight is Ralph” and some comment about he’d probably have kept us up. What’s clear from the article, but also the atrocious start to the season, is the problems started under him. He should have been out out of his misery last summer or given full reign to bring in his own coaches and staff. This bizarre notion that you can sack the coaching staff , give the manager a stay of execution and he’ll maintain his authority is plain wrong. He was on borrowed time, everybody could see that, and I’ve no doubt that would have contributed to standards slipping. I’ve been very critical of Ralph, but he did appear to have high standards and control, but once SR undermined him without removing him, that all went.
  10. It’s a no from me then. Why on earth would we want him to stay, he can’t get anywhere near one of the worst premier league sides ever. A side where Moi, Walcott & Adam Armstrong get game time.
  11. Get relegated and a bunch of nods don’t want to go anymore. Pathetic.
  12. Pathetic comment. Of course it’s going to be about him. They fucking asked him questions about himself. What’s he supposed to answer when asked about himself, start talking about the weather?
  13. Interesting that Bournemouth have released a statement & written to their supporters regarding their behaviour at away games, specifically mention the “flare” at our game. They’ve been told they now have to show ID and will only be allowed in if their in possession of a ticket purchased in their name. They claim checks will be in place and they need to arrive early. They’ve also be told their account will be frozen & they won’t be able to buy anymore tickets if somebody is found with a ticket in a different name. Not sure how it’ll work in practise and probably just an idle threat, but away fans behaviour is obviously becoming an issue. Probably to do with identifying who is in each seat for cctv as they’ve also been told they must sit in allocated seat (although I can’t see how they enforce that). Eventually, they’ll probably be able to print names on tickets easily, so I imagine all games will end up like this.
  14. Fulham are currently 10th, 4 places above the side the genius Cortese built in his glorious first premier league campaign. Bournemouth are 14th, So we were 14th, then 8th. We were miserable in all senior cup competitions and we didn’t even win League 1 or the Championship. We had better achievements the 3 seasons after he left. Where we weren’t “not far off”, we were actually in Europe.
  15. More than 12 other teams.
  16. Of course we were on the “up” under Cortese, we were fucking bottom of league one when he came in, it was pretty hard not to have continued momentum when a club our size is it that situation. The question is whether this rise would have continued and we’d have became a top side season in season out had he not left. We’ll never know, but my opinion is it would either have followed a similar path to what we took, or we’d have had a Peter Risdale like bust. The fact that of all the leagues in the world, all the owners looking to buy success, all the championship clubs wanting to do similar, not one has turned to him. Maybe he’s done with football and has turned the hoards knocking on his door away, but maybe people could see through his bullshit.
  17. Just when I thought you couldn’t get anymore boring…..
  18. Good article, thanks for posting…
  19. That ship sailed years ago. 95% of managers ware giving a group of players and told to work with them. They’ll get a say in what they want, but not in who they end up with. I know for a fact that Jones was told he would be given a squad and be expected to work with them. It’s that’s one of the reasons he got the job & one of the reasons Ralph didn’t appeal to SR. Whether they panicked and changed course during the Jan window, I don’t know. But the initial conversation and intention was he’d have no input at all……
  20. We’ve tried. https://m.facebook.com/NoContextPhoenixNights/videos/youve-broke-my-door-youve-broke-my-door/548585066433637/?wtsid=rdr_0N89iPW7OxsotqsfP
  21. Are you nuts, or Peter Risdale? if we gave Luke Shaw that sort of contract the players wouldn’t be calling up their agents saying “they mean business, get me an extension to my contract”, they’d be saying “I’ll have some of that”. Poch would have wanted a fortune to stay, the cost of our new signings would have gone through the roof. One players deal isnt done in a vacuum, the knock on effect would have been catastrophic. Leicester won the league & were in the champions league and couldn’t keep 3 of their best players. Let’s see how Brighton get on keeping their manager & players, I doubt they’ll be giving Mcallister a ridiculous contract they can’t afford to show De Zerbi they mean business. We should just be grateful that afterwards, the club had people that managed to somehow make us even better .
  22. I thought James Milner a while back, when people were discussing Lampard, Gerrard & Rooney. Personally, I’d rather have Adam Lallana than any of those 3. That’s not to say I’d want him as first choice, only that I’d take him & Milner over the 3 England “stars”. I’ve seen a lot of posts stating “let’s get someone in early” or from the day the season ends. That discounts a few who are likely to lose their jobs, Cooper for one, if Forest are relegated (wouldn’t surprise me if he went after keeping them up either). Personally, I don’t think Potter is realistic, if I was his agent I’d advise him to sit tight, De Zerbi is in demand so a return to Brighton could open up and then there’s Leicester & possibly West Ham.
  23. Perhaps the other players are still putting it in, whilst this bloke milks his “injury”.
