Most keepers do 3 things. 1. Make really good saves 2. Make saves they should make. 3. Make errors. He only does the last 2. Any shot or header anywhere near the corner or struck decently is a goal. You can analyse the goals he’s conceded all you want, but a championship keeper should be saving some of the ones he lets in that aren’t outright howlers. He doesn’t save anything a third of fourth tier keeper wouldn’t save. Fucking hell, he’s either the unluckiest keeper in the world, every shot on target is unsaveable or he’s fucking pony. I know which one I think it is

It all starts with trying to be too clever. We chased the ball down early won a corner and were on the front foot. Fucking mincing around with a short corner, instead of getting it in the mixer first minute. Fucking pony.

I guess it’ll depend on how we’re doing. I imagine a new contract will be more appealing than a relegation battle if we are 10 points clear of 3rd place come Jan. im not saying he’ll stay in Jan , but we won’t be in the conversation if we’re midtable by then.

Good solid pro, defo premiership level so a real plus keeping him this window. His size probably narrows down his options as some managers won’t fancy him, but I’m surprised he hasn’t been in more demand.

I don’t understand why people are lumping him in with Che & KWP in the “brilliant we kept” bag. Che for all his faults has performed at various time over the years, and KWP has been very good for a long time. This Sully bloke has done fuck all except in a beer & skittles match, has been “injured “ this season and clearly doesn’t want to play for us. Maybe he’ll knuckle down, play brilliantly to secure his African nations place, before tearing up the league. Or maybe he’ll do the bare minimum to stay fit, flatter to deceive & agitate for a move in Jan. I know which my monies on.

No. He’s an average premier league player. We’re better off than anyone thought we’d be, and better off than most relegated teams. But to say we’re stronger after the window than before is just pony.
