The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

The person people who will never vote Tory want to be Tory leader. I work in his constituency, he’s basically a Lib Dem with a military background who loves publicly, bit like rory Stewart really. What ever happened to him? -
Gone downhill imo, we’ve moved to Cricketers or London Rd tavern instead. Used to love The Alex, real decent pint of Landlord.

Why’s he not got the Labour whip, surely a man with backbone & a moral compass is needed . This is what the Jewish leadership council think. Of course Jews are at the bottom of the victim table, so don’t really count. When Jews complain about an obviously antisemitic mural in Tower Hamlets, Corbyn of course supports the artist. Hizbollah commits terrorist atrocities against Jews, but Corbyn calls them his friends and attends pro-Hizbollah rallies in London. Exactly the same goes for Hamas. Raed Salah says Jews kill Christian children to drink their blood. Corbyn opposes his extradition and invites him for tea at the House of Commons. These are not the only cases. He is repeatedly found alongside people with blatantly antisemitic views, but claims never to hear or read them.Again and again, Jeremy Corbyn has sided with antisemites rather than Jews. -

His politics are nearer yours than mine. He’s a soppy pinko , bit like you really. You’re right for once, there is “little surprise” how I voted, anyone who wanted Brexit had no other choice. -

😂 He’s an anti Semitic, terrorist loving half wit. He’s even been chucked out of the Parliamentry party he’s so beyond the pale. No surprise you think he’s got a “moral compass”, says a lot about you. The reason Boris got an 80 seat majority wasn’t down to his probity and standards of behaviour, it was because the alternative was Steptoe. The voters knew exactly who and what Boris was, the problem for you was they also knew exactly who and what Corbyn was. -

Fat Sam was using data, analytics and statistics last century, so it’s not quite as modern as the hipsters think.
-
That wasn’t the debate. The debate was who had the “higher ceiling” 😂
-
Bollocks. It’s obvious which one had the “higher ceiling”, it’s laughable that anyone thought otherwise. Let alone all these people who watched them regularly.
-
What f**king “evidence”?
-
FFS it’s not hard. If the Lino thinks it’s offside he doesn’t raise his flag until the goal opportunity has gone, or the defending side have control of the ball. It’s the same as advantage, if they then give the ball away, that’s their fault. You claimed they never go back to the offside. That’s complete pony. Broja was offside Sat, the Lino thought he was offside. Had the keeper saved his shot by tipping it round the post (instead of it going in), there wouldn’t have been a corner, they’d have gone back to the offside . They do that every single time.
-
Data 😂 Load of old pony.
-
It has. Time and time again Lino’s put the flag up once they know the move won’t result in a goal. If the defensive side have control of the ball, they don’t go back to the offside. However, if the attacking side have the ball, they do. You’re talking pony if you think the Lino thinks it’s offside and they then subsequently allow a corner. It doesn’t happen.
-
It does. As soon as the goal threat is over the Lino puts his flag up if he thought it was offside.
-
It does my f**king head in. The moaning from pundits about “late flags” and stopping the game. If Lino’s don’t keep their flags down and allow play to continue then VAR will only rule out goals the officials thought were onside , it won’t allow goals where officials thought it was offside.

Broja makes a difference and gives him more flexibility, OR was a big big loss second half of season and he had a centre half with the turning circle of an oil tanker. But good management is fitting what you have into their best system, not putting them into your preferred system if they’re not a fit. There were some appalling tactical f**k ups last season, (the spurs home game being one of the most inept I’ve ever seen), and some weird selections/substitutions. I don’t think he got the best out of the poor hand he was dealt. I also had an issue with the mentality at the club, the softness and lack of fight. One knock back and we collapsed. It’s probably the hardest area to adjust, and I’m surprised how far we’ve come on that front. Let’s hope it continues for the rest of the season,
-
Clearly not as good as Bertrand at his best, but far far better than the half arsed Bertrand we saw most of last season.
-
What a load of old pony. We lost to Wolves and I didn’t see one post stating the new owners want their own man, or that the pressure is now on Ralph. I presume “haters” mean the people who wanted Ralph to change and become tactically more flexible, as well as insert some backbone into the players and stop making stupid selection decisions/substitutions . There were others who thought his tactics were fine and he was doing ok as he was. I guess Ralph must be a hater then, because he’s realised that’s exactly what was required, and done it.
-
Exactly. He clearly identified that things needed to change and has changed them. The contrast between our mental toughness last season and this is worlds apart and there’s a tactical flexibility that was lacking last year. We’re not there yet, as there’s still the odd game where he loses the plot, but we’re definitely heading in the right direction. Let’s hope it continues.

Last season (after they stuck 5 past us) he was blowing smoke up our arses and some were lapping it up. Much prefer sulking grumpy Pep after we’ve done a number on them. Proper team performance, defended properly, stopped them playing but with Broja up top we always look like we’ve got an outlet. From where I was sat maybe Forster should have come for the goal, and I thought Mo struggled, but other than that an excellent performance. The most obvious MoTM for years, but I thought both full backs were superb as well.
-
Contrast the 2 city performances this season with last. We went up there last season and won the Pep team of the month award, by passing it around nicely, playing pretty patterns and playing the exact game they wanted us to. Contrast that to yesterday, at the final whistle 3 or 4 of their players were arguing with the referee, they were hurt by our performance, they weren’t blowing smoke up our arse and telling us how nice we played. We were easy to beat and easy to play against last season , with a softness that came to the fore when the going got tough. There definitely seems a different mindset and culture at the club this season and that starts at the top with the manager. There’s even 2 or 3 I wouldn’t want as a son in law anymore…..

Let’s hope so. But like Brexit, the break up of The Union will be mainly down to the people who want to save it. When history is written the major starting point was the ridiculous devolution settlement orchestrated by New Labour and designed to kill nationalism stone dead. Instead it was the shot in the arm it needed. The establishment is playing exactly the same game they did with euro scepticism. They seem to think that more devolved powers, more local decision making, will result in people deciding to stay within the UK. When all it does is super charge independence. Ken Clarke used to tell Major and later Cameron that they shouldn’t give an inch to the Euro Sceptic side, because they just bank it, and carry on as normal. This is exactly what will happen with Krankie etc. There will be more tax rising and other measures devolved and it still won’t stop the March to independence. It will hasten it, as well as antagonise the English. The more powers that flow to Scotland, the more The English issue is highlighted. If we ever end up in a situation where Labour govern on the back of Sweaty votes, English nationalist voices will rise up. I know The Tories have governed the UK whilst having 1 or 2 sweaty MP’s, but the fundamental difference is UK MP’s will be deciding English matters that are devolved in Scotland, and politics being politics the opposition won’t accept that as part of being in the union, it’ll be pointed out over and over again (as will the £’s sent up there). It’s untenable in the long term. -

Course they’re unionist. Major signing Maastricht, Brown agreeing to Lisbon made Brexit more likely, but that didn’t make them Leavers. If there was a vote for English independence they’d vote no. That’s not English nationalism. You’ll know it when it arrives. -

That’s a load of old pony. They’re unionist through and through, luckily for them there isn’t a English Nationalist movement led by somebody like Nigel, otherwise the union would be in trouble. It wouldn’t surprise me if English nationalism is the next big Brexit type battleground. The modern Conservative party are basically Lib Dems without the sandals. As Peter Hitchens has correctly identified, the biggest threat to conservatism in this country, is the Conservative party.
